Sturdy, easy to fill and get toothpicks out. A little heavier than expected, but that makes it more stable for accidental drop. Nice finish for both top and main parts.

This toothpick holder is beautiful and simple - brushed stainless finish to match the other things in my kitchen. I was surprised to find it is weighted - 8.3 oz - and heavier on the bottom so it's not going to be knocked over. The top screws on, so all the toothpicks are not going to accidentally come out when shaking it. The hole allows one toothpick at a time to be dispensed.The original little paper box falls apart long before the toothpicks are gone. This container is exactly what I needed and wanted, and much nicer than I expected.

I'm sad to say that it never occurred to me to put my toothpicks, which I only use to check for doneness when baking, in a toothpick holder up until now. Everybody on all sides of the family kept their toothpicks in the box in a kitchen cabinet, so I did too. Naturally, some always fall out, creating extra steps to using them.This toothpick holder is wonderful. An entire box fits in it. (Who knew? Probably everybody except me.) It looks great, has a pleasant weight to it, and sits nicely in my cabinet, not waiting to ambush me whenever I look for something anywhere near it. Why did it take me so long to figure this out?
