With a beautiful and classic fluted glass and satin nickel finish, it’s the perfect choice for your antique or vintage interior doors. Installation is a breeze, and the glass door knob set features 2 inch outside diameter knobs. These door knobs are for interior use only, and includes a 17/64 inch x 3-1/2 inch steel spindle with 3/8 inch -20 threads. This classic style door knob set fits square drive spindle systems commonly found in antique and vintage door hardware sets, and it can adjust to accommodate different door thicknesses. The diecast base on these knobs include the set screws for fastening the knobs to the square spindle, but it does NOT include any of the following components and they must be purchased separately: The internal mortise lock body, the door rosettes, the trim and strike plates, or the latch and fasteners. For matching rosettes and latch see Prime-Line’s model number E 2496. Note: This item cannot be used on pre-bored doors that have large, newer style door knob holes without first prepping them to receive this hardware. Installation tip #1: Because the fasteners of the rosettes (purchased separately) require a solid surface to mount to, the large 2-1/8 inch (approximate size) holes must first be filled with a hardening filler, to then be able to receive the rosette fasteners. Products like Fix-It-All and Bondo Body Filler have worked well for some, but care must be used to avoid damaging any prefinished door surfaces during application and finishing. Installation tip #2: Apply a small amount of Loctite ThreadLocker 271 to the set screw threads in the event they are loosening – Loctite purchased separately.

I love the charm of the glass door knobs but not the price. These were a perfect replacement! Reasonably priced, perfect fit and matches my older glass door knobs in the house. The door knob is functional, nice weight- didn't feel flimsy and fits perfect.

Fits on an antique doorknob locking setup. so happy Amazon had this to fix my old doorknob without having to cut a bigger hole or have to find out how to install a new doorknob! Much easier fix for my problem. My doorknob kept falling off so this fixed that problem. Great value for money and it looks pretty and works well.

Found this and decided to give it a try in our home that was built in 1887. Fits great, looks very nice and was very easy to install. Will be buying a couple more for some other doors.

Reasonable quality glass knob with plated brass boss swaged onto it. A single set screw hole is drilled and tapped into the boss. Mine came with no set screws. Note that the thread on the set screws is now 1/4-20 (older versions of this knob used 1/4-28 set screws). The failure mode of the older knobs is when the swaging lets go and the glass knob begins to rotate freely in the boss, thus rendering it unable to overcome the lock's friction and retract the latch. I expect that these will eventually fail the same way. Personally, I prefer to scrap the stock set screws and use a 1/4" allen screw. The lack of stock screws was not a problem. The knobs are easy to install and they work well.

I got these doorknobs to replace the current glass knobs at my rental house. They look great, and function well. I had no problems replacing the existing knobs with these. They match the size of the old knobs and feel the same.

I had replaced the vintage door knobs and latch assembly about 4 years ago with a replica assembly after the original ones were beyond repair without any new parts. Unfortunately they were in a rental house and the door knob came loose and the tenants ended up stripping the threads. I bought this new knob and it was a perfect fit in the latch mechanism I had replaced 4 years ago. I would recommend this door knob.
