Was super excited to by this unit. Read that the Primulus cold brew maker was a top 5 for cost n ease. Well I received my package from Amazon. Unit was not packaged in any form of box. The instructions were inside the vase, had one heck of a time getting it out (torn into bits).Found that instructions manual online and read it thoroughly. They advertise that the handle se tin comes detachable from the vase( I COULD NOT GET IT LOOSE). I can now only imagine cleaning the vase is going to be difficult if you have large hands and getting to behind handle ridge will be impossible.Made my first batch and found coffee grains seeped out from filter unit into the vase.My first cup rated ok but had grains. The grains in the vase may have been a result of me shaking the unit prior to and middle of brewing process as I again saw/read that somewhere. I will use strainer to finish this first batch and will avoid certain steps next time.

I dont like that the grounds holder doesn't secure into the lid. It makes it almost impossible to not get grounds in the pitcher. Everything else I love. Easy to clean, easy to use. And the size is Fantastic!

First off the brew core can't hold 8oz of coffee, more like 4.5 oz. Normal ratio 1 part coffee to 8 part of water. So if you use 68oz of water you will end up with a ratio of 1 part coffee to 15-16 parts water which is why the taste of coffee is so weak. The only reason why I plan on keeping the unit is because I can make my cold brew in large mason jars, but it's easy to pour into this a easily store on my refrigerator door.

I am absolutely in love with this product! It is the first and only cold brew pitcher I have purchased so I have no comparison. I find it easy to very use.Read the instructions first. I have a water filter attached to my faucet so I leave it on a slow trickle, stirring up the grounds with a metal chopstick every so often to help the water get through. The chopstick fits perfectly to hang out in there with the lid on while it brews so I can stir it up every so often.I have made two batches so far and only used store bought ground coffee. Yes, some will leak through as other reviewers say. But it's better to problem solve than when coffee grounds find their way into my hot coffee brew. The grounds turn into a muddy consistency and hang out at the bottom of the pitcher. I just scrape up as much as I can with a wooden spoon. I might get some in the last cup from the pitcher, but again, it sticks to the bottom of the cup so I don't mind while I'm using what I have before switching to the recommended coarse ground coffee. The flavor is just unbeatable. I highly recommend the suggestion from the instructions to warm it up if you enjoy hot coffee as well. It truly cuts down the acidity so much and is much more enjoyable. I love the large capacity. It lasts me 6 days of the week and I can mix in my almond milk to have it ready to pour just how I like it all week. The filter is very easy to clean. My pitcher arrived without the screw cap for the bottom and the company promptly sent me one when I reached out to customer service. My only issue is the part with the handle is a little difficult to twist back to the proper position, but that is a very minor issue. It does go into place, you just have to twist it very tight.

I bought this a while ago, so I had some time to actually use it several times. I love how easy it us to brew coffee in it, fits right in the fridge door compartment. VERY tight screwing of the top parts (the black ones) that I had trouble taking them apart to clean. But I think that's a good thing, because they don't break easily that way. It's large enough to keep brewed coffee for 1 week, if you drink coffee only once a day. Brewed coffee tastes good, doesn't feel acidic to my stomach and it's not bitter at all!! Overall, worth buying👍

Be sure to follow the instructions. I found the brew time in the fridge takes longer then if you set it out on the counter. The clean up is a breeze with the strainer. I love having ice coffee in the fridge any time I want. Forget Starbucks make your own at home.

I love this product. I have had it for a few months now and am making about 3 pots of cold brew a week. I've read other reviews stating it leaks coffee grounds and have to say, that is because of user error. You do have to pay attention to water flow when adding water through the grounds filter. Try to do it too quickly and yes, you will get grounds into the pitcher. But with a little attention and patience, the grounds stay exactly where they belong. The clean up is easy, just pull out the filter, let the water drain out a bit, and then dump into the garbage. Easy peazzy!

I wish I had bought one of these sooner! My boyfriend is a coffee nut. He probably drinks about a pot a day to himself. I like coffee, but I prefer it cold. So I would try and wait until his pot of brewed coffee cooled down, but half the time it would be gone by then lol. Sometimes I would brew a pot and stick it in a pitcher in the fridge but that became a little of a hassle. Enter this cold brew pitcher. Brewing cold coffee has never been easier. I put 18 tbsp of coffee in the filter (I like mine a little stronger), pour 10 cups of water over the grounds, stick it in the fridge for 24 hours, then add 1 cup half and a half and 1/2 cup sugar, and it's the perfect amount of cold brew coffee to last me my whole work week. I've had it a few weeks now and just love it. I thought it might be one of those things that were a cool novelty thing but not practical to use all the time. You know.. those things you use once or twice and wind up in the cabinet? But I was wrong. Brewing and cleaning are both so easy that it's never even wound up in a cabinet. As soon as I pour the last cup I clean real fast, and just set up another pot for the next day. I really do love this thing. I was debating between this and the Kitchen Aid one, but this one brews more than double of even their "XL" one. So I'm glad I picked this.

Simple design and it does what I need it to do, aka make iced coffee. It is hard to clean because of the lid design and the pitcher does not fit in my dishwasher, but it's not terrible. It is a little cheap (the threads on the bottom of the filter are stripped and the filter doesn't lock into the lid very well) but it still works so I don't care.

Makes good cold brew! The whole thing can be taken apart for easy cleaning, although it was difficult to unscrew the top part with the handle for the first time. The bottom cap on the filter doesn't screw on tight, but it stays on when it's filled up anyway. You have to pour water over the grounds slowly to avoid spilling grounds into the main chamber.

Been using it for over a month, works great! There is no leakage happening when I lay it on the side in the fridge (keep in mind that if you lay it, the coffee will mix with the water so before using it you will have to filter it in another container and put it back in). Easy to clean, since every part of it can be "unscrewed" easily. The filter is also well-made, perfect for ground coffee. I mostly use it to make "cold brew coffee", I love it!Tips: I full the entire filter with strong ground coffee, also full the container with cold water. Let it rest in the fridge without touching it for 24 hours. Get the ground coffee out of the container and throw it away. If I want to make sure that no ground coffee escaped the top to mix with the water, I will put the filter in another container, pour out the coffee in it and then put it back in the original container since this one is really leakage proof and makes pouring coffee really easy.
