This dog grooming set is wonderful for the amateur groomer that realizes their limited grooming ability. I don’t dare go into completely grooming my dog. I’m sure there would be some agency at my doorstep before dark ready to arrest me for mental anguish and abuse of the poor little dog. But this little amateur set is what I use between real grooming when the hair gets unusually long and shaggy unevenly and I trim down the offending strand or trim a little around the eye so he’ll stop running into objects he can’t see from behind the Hairy Curtain! This is a great little set for that. Also great for getting burrs out of a long coat when you loosened all the hair you can and are down to having to cut a little hair to get a sticking burr out. Best scissors for anything you need to clip off a dog; blunt tips so even if he/she wiggles a little they won’t jab the pointed end of the scissors into themselves or you. And with long haired dogs, they need brushing and then combing at least 3 or more times a week. The teeth of the metal comb won’t break off nor can the chew them off as they will with any plastic comb you try. Brushing and combing the dog’s hair will bring a closer bond with you also since most dogs love that.

I was excited to try these. I groom my dogs at home and use a scissors kit a little more than 3x the cost of this kit, so if they worked out, they’d be a great money saver. Alas, it was not to be. Neither the curved or straight pair had anything near a sharp edge. The first cut I tried to make with the curved pair was so unsuccessful, I looked at the blades to see if they had a plastic sheath or covering on them that I’d missed. Nope. So I tried the straight pair with the same results. It was pretty disappointing discovery to make. I did not try the thinning (chunking) pair. I rarely use that type when I groom. The comb is nice though, but I already have several of this type of comb.Based on my experience with the SCEDREAM Professional Dog Grooming Scissors Set, I am unfortunately giving 1 out of 5 Stars.

I wanted to like these scissors but I immediately noticed that the curved scissors had a gap between the two blades. It looks like the manufacturer used strength to bend a straight scissor so that it's curved, but they didn't quality control it that well. There's a noticable gap so the scissors don't open and close smoothly.I then realized the straight scissors had the same issue where there's a gap and doesn't open/close smoothly.Overall I would pass on these scissors due to quality issues.

These scissors made me feel like a professional groomer! The curved blades and thinning shears made my pup look like a show dog (even if he acts like a rascal). The candy blue color is just an added treat for me!
