Pretty good for 100 dollar one. 48” long tile worked cut easily. Make sure to score correctly

Let me start with the cracking tool. It’s amazing and it is now part of my basic toolset. The fact that you can dial up the pressure until it cracks with zero chance of smashing the edge is invaluable. If you don’t buy this, they sell the pliers separately and suggest you get them. The scorer is tricky to get used to and you’ll probably make a lot of ugly cuts before you get any good ones. I don’t know if I can recommend this for DIYers. It really helps if you have a thorough understanding and feel for tile. Your form has to be perfect and the tile has to be either so large and heavy that it won’t move (like the ones in the picture) or you’d need to immobilize it to not risk messing the cut up. If you want to greatly increase your chances of getting a successful straight cut, I suggest using sacrificial tiles or pieces on both ends, or at least the far end, but you can do it without them. If you want to make a diagonal cut, you just run the track on a tile underneath the one you’re cutting. I never trusted the scale, it didn’t seem accurate, but I don’t think that’s their fault—the geometry introduces too many degrees of freedom. This system is too time consuming to be your primary tool, but considering how heavy and expensive very large tile cutters are, if you only need to do a couple dozen long cuts per year, this thing is so lightweight you can easily take it with you wherever. Speaking of that, if you are doing a repair and don’t want to lug your full set up stairs to only make one or two cuts this can also come in handy for that. Use oil along your cut for better result.

This tile cutter worked good for exactly one cut, then broke every tile after that. Maybe it would work better on cheap tile, but it certainly did not want to cut polished porcelain. I ended up using a grinder for my long cuts.

I got this tile cutter so I can use it for my bathroom redo and was a little disappointed. It does cut the tile however the instructions did not make any sense. Once I finally got it put together it did the job I needed it to do.

I reserve one-star reviews for only the worst of the worst, but this one qualifies, based solely on the PITIFUL attempt at instructions it came with. It's just shameless to give so little effort, and foolish to send out such an expensive product, with sharp blades and some confusing assembly required, with zero coherent directions. There's nothing useful about how to put it together. Nothing *at all* about how to use it. Not even a picture to show how it should look. NOTHING. Let me tell you; "install handle with screws" is not good enough. Which handle? Which screws? There are multiple kinds of both, and it's not obvious what to do.This thing probably works like it's supposed to, but I'll never know, because they gave me the #1 most terrible instructions I have EVER gotten with a product.

Overall, I'm not not very impressed with this product. Does it cut tile? Yes. Is it as easy as other tile cutters priced in the same arena? A big NO. The instructions in the box are essentially useless - I'm not even sure they are for this model. I had to watch the "how to use" video in this listing to even figure out how to assemble it. Other cutters at this price point include the break tool as part of the cutting mechanism - you slide the cutter, and simply reach back to engage the break tool. With this one, it is a completely separate, unrelated tool that you have to use on each end of the tile by picking up the tile first.Perhaps if the tool were priced at around $100 I can see it being worthwhile, but it cannot compete with other tools at the current price point of $180.

I was anxious to use this tile cutter for an upcoming home renovation project as my former tile cutter is in need of replacement. I am sorry to say that I was disappointed in this product’s performance. First, may I say the instructions are lacking. I searched online for more direction. The instructions provide no guidance for blade installation. Although it touts “three blades” only one can be used at a time. The wheel type blade was somewhat self explanatory of where to install it, but the flat blade installation took quite a while to finally figure out. Regardless, you must use one type of blade or the other at a time. To switch blades requires removing the one hand piece, taking out the locking screw and sliding on the other and then using the locking screw on that hand piece. The t-bar has rollers on the bottom of the vertical side, but it is difficult to hold it steady while applying significant pressure to score the tile. Perhaps if you have industrial-sized tile the bar is more manageable, but the blade is still lacking. As for the crimpers, they are not very responsive or effective. I promise that I practiced and practiced and really applied pressure when scoring and crimping but have yet to achieve a satisfactory cut. For the expense of this tile cutter, I could have four satisfactory tile cutters from a big box store. I am just not finding the value in this tool seeing as how expensive it is.
