Handy to have around! I love that hose so that I'm not having to hold the whole tank with the torch. Much better maneuverability this way!

Small torch for pre-heating or sweating of copper fittings. The unit comes apart but the hose is easy to connect and tighten down with a screwdriver. has an on/off adjustment valve and a boost handle to increase the gas flow when more heat is required.

This is the most dangerous thing I have ever gotten through Amazon. There is no way to shut this off. The shutoff valve does nothing. It has + and - on the knob but turning it tightly to "-" does nothing. First off, this takes an adapter to connect to a small propane bottle. Once you do that, you make sure the knob is turned fully off "-", connect up your bottle. You should be able to squeeze the throttle handle and nothing should happen. But what happens is full propane volume no matter where the throttle handle is squeezed and there is no way to stop the flow. I had to unscrew the bottle to make it stop. I did this twice just make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. It can't be stopped with the knob or with the throttle lever. Same thing both times; full propane flow that can't be stopped. I also suspect this was a return from a previous customer and the box looked like it had been opened before and the accessory bag was torn open. The only reason why this didn't turn into a catastrophe is the torch was not lit and was not anywhere near an ignition source. It let out quite a bit of propane and it could have been very regrettable. Again, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.Edit: I want to clarify some confusion in this review. The knob doesn't turn off propane flow if you use the lever. The knob is used to make a sustaining flame for when you are on and off the lever throttle or you are going to be using the knob to set a constant flame. The problem is with the lever. The spring isn't strong enough to close the valve. In trying to make this work, I put an o-ring under the valve and that helped some but still the spring is too weak. I shimmed up the spring using copper washers and now when you close the lever, the flow stops and you can throttle the propane flow. If the manufacturer hasn't corrected that problem, then this is still a dangerous device. I also put a ball valve on the hose so should the throttle not close, I can just close the valve to stop the flow. One should not have to do all of this to make a flawed product functional.

I've used this several times now and like it. I use it to start my charcoal grill with chemical free charcoal. The coals start fast because of the torch and gets my BBQ going. The only quirk is that you need to secure the connection to the tank tightly so that the tank safety doesn't activate. It's happened to me a couple times but not a deal breaker. The flame is fierce if you like it that way or tame and is easily adjustable. The trigger handle is only good for me to evacuate the hose of excess gas when I'm done. There is a lot of propane in the hose when I turn the tank off first so the torch handle evacuates the hose quickly. Aim torch in a safe direction. It's easy to assemble, just need a Philips screwdriver.
