FYI: the foam is really stiff! Not much give. If you are looking for this for your foot stretching, just be advised, this foam does not give hardly at all.

This 12” x 6” roller does a terrific job as part of an exercise routine after knee surgery. I keep it on an ottoman so that I can stretch my legs in a pose called “extension” to strengthen my knees while I am watching television or reading. The roller is both handy and sturdy as well; in addition, the price is reasonable.

Acquistato per esercizi in palestra e presso l’abitazione, rispetto ad altri oggetti simili acquistati in passato, devo dire che la qualità è ottima pur se proposta a prezzo ridotto. 5 stelle

Highly effective! I bought this to replace an old foam roller. The firmness on this roller is absolutely perfect. My old roller was getting squishy, but this one has rather hard firmness, yet not too hard. I have had five back surgery and this is my go-to when my back and shoulders feel tight. It is great for stretching out my back and soothing sore muscles around my shoulder blades. The company who makes this roller definitely knows what it’s doing in terms of physical therapy and effectiveness.

This might be one of the greatest purchases I’ve ever made. Perfect size 36” and also the diameter. Perfect level of firmness : not painful but not soft. Firmer than medium. Well constructed. I use it on my futon for massaging and also for back support while doing leg lifts. This thing is just GREAT ! I’ve had back issues from driving and also some osteo arthritis. I can even massage my shoulders by alternating each side and arching my back and pushing my legs downward so my back arches. I believe if I’d had this years ago I never would have had issues. The problem is that so many car seats are not made to fit certain body types. In particular there are big gaps in lumbar area in car seats which is where you need the support most. I think car seats in the 1980s without all these fancy adjustments were actually better. They seem to have had a firmer support and lower lumbar curve. At least the Japanese cars I’ve had from the 80s, and also my 85 VW. I’ve doctored some other softer foam rollers for my car seat, to fill the gap where my lumbar region is. But for daily exercise, this roller is KING ! Also : no bad odor at all !

In case anyone (else) was wondering, you can cut it relatively cleanly with a bread knife and get it to form a new "skin" over a gas stove burner (with the usual caveats about adequate ventilation). Wanted something a little thinner. Most foam rollers don't look like they would respond well to this.Otherwise, it's a foam roller. A little on the firmer side but has some give to it. Seems to generally have the qualities one would expect a foam roller to have, and it's inexpensive.

I was having an issue for a couple years where my rib kept popping out of place because the muscles at that level of my spine were extremely tight and the spine itself is slightly twisted. The only thing that seemed to help was having a massage therapist or physical therapist pop it back in my manipulating the rib where it connects to the spine. That was all well and good but unsustainably expensive. Made even worse when the pandemic hit and I no longer feel comfortable in those settings.Bought this on the recommendation of my massage therapist, and it's made a tremendous difference. I roll my back most mornings when I get up and again before bed. I give it a break every few days or else I get a bit sore, but as long as I don't overdo it, it's been an excellent practice. My back is much more relaxed and my rib rarely pops out now. On the occasions when it does, it's minor compared to the chronic searing pain I was having before. I can usually get it back in place myself by gently rocking over the spot using the foam roller.I find it's also good for when I'm really missing human touch as well. A great way to give oneself deep pressure stimulation in a pandemic. I only ever use it on my back and feet, but supposedly it's good for the arms and legs as well.
