I am a trumpeter. I recently bought a new gig bag (through Amazon) that was said to have mouthpiece storage. Upon inspection, however, I found said protection severely lacking. I am very fussy about my mouthpiece. For example, I NEVER set it down on the rim—damage could occur. And what else has been set there? Well, the Protec mouthpiece pouch is perfect for my purposes. It provides safe stowage within the gig bag. Nothing damages the mouthpiece, and the mouthpiece damages nothing else in the gig bag. There are other Protec mouthpiece pouches that hold more mouthpieces if one needs that. I am very happy with my single. Highly recommended.

We ordered this as a Christmas stocking stuffer for our son. He loved it and used it on our recent traveling experience. It fits the French horn mouthpiece perfectly and kept it safe while we were away from home and the horn case.

The product delivers exactly what I wanted a holder that I could put on my belt and curry and mouthpiece around with me at all times. There is no negative as it is advertised as a trumpet mouthpiece holder and is that it works well. I unfortunately am a Bugler. And the Bugle mouthpiece is slightly smaller than a trumpet mouthpiece, which makes it not as easy to remove, when on the belt, but this can be achieved by pushing up from the bottom to lift the mouthpiece to the rim, so your fingers can get it apart from that well mate, and as I said, Dez wouldn’t exactly says it does

This keeps my gold schagerl apredato mouthpiece safe and sound. The Velcro is strong and covers the little pouch all the way so you don’t have to worry about dirt or anything in the air seeping in. It goes without saying that water would probably get through it. The little belt loop is pretty tight and that’s good since you know it won’t slide around where you have it slid on. The inside is very soft and the outside material is tough and is molded to keep a rigid appearance. It seems it’ll stand the test of time. Can’t wait to try out the larger pouches.

I'm cheap. What can I say? I bought a used trumpet that came with a gig bag instead of a hard case. No cup for the mouthpiece, just a large zipper pocket to also store pencils, valve oil, clothespins, etc. I just had the mouthpiece wrapped in a washcloth to protect it, but everyone else in the section had leather pouches and my ego succummed to vanity.

This keeps my son's mouthpiece protected and helps him keep up with it. He has to carry his mouthpiece around and this keeps him from losing it, like he did the first one.
