It does a job.For those in the complexes of life, where you're stuck purchasing a smart tv that does not have quality audio output save for a single prized HDMI eARC port this would likely leave many buying into the proprietary soundbars and wireless speakers of their selected product family.But not I, venturing an endeavor in miniature Hi-Fi I've found that the pitfalls are many. But not here, not with this little golden nugget. I just want to drill and tap the sides and mini-rack mount it right now.Such a tidy little package and it's discrete profile really helps it slip behind and just set it and forget it. The audio is clear and no feedback, the solid case and smooth knob get the job done at a razer thin margin, the RCA plugs are actually wider.. Just need a USB hub now for all these little USB pluggable home audio gadgets.

I've had decades of experience with audio componentry, but if you can read (instructions come in several languages) you can set this up in ten minutes. I had jerry rigged the 55" Highsense's sound through the stereo but the device improved the sound quality greatly.

Not user friendly as advertised. Tried connecting a set of floor speakers to a newer TV. Followed instructions to the letter with negative results.

Digitales Übertragen über optische Leiter oder Coax hat die Vorteile, dass es entkoppelt und lange Leitungswege zulässt. Allerdings haben alte Anlagen keinen oder zu wenige Optische Eingänge. Hierzu ist ein solcher Adapter die beste Lösung.

Dieser Wandler wandelt digitale Signale ind analoge um, und ist daher geeignet, neuere, digitale Geräte an älteren, analogen (wie zB Verstärker oder Receiver oder TV Geräte oder auch Radios) anzuschließen. Ein kleiner Vorverstärker ist ebenfalls inkludiert; er lässt sich über eine Lautstärkeregler regeln.Der Konverter unterstützt aber nicht jedes DLBY, nur Dolby 5.1.Ich kann keine Audioverluste feststellen, habe sie aber nur gehört und nicht gemessen; aber gerade fürs Hören soll das Gerät ja dienen.Das nur ca 6 x 6 x 1,5 cm große Gerät besitzt zwei digitale (coaxial und optisch) Eingänge sowie einen (analogen) RCA Ausgang. Die Stromzufuhr erfolgt über ein USB A Kabel mit Steckereingang auf Geräteseite. Mitgeliefert werden jenes USB Kabel (ohne Netzteil) aber mit Magnetring, ein optisches Kabel und (in der Beschreibung allerdings nicht extra erwähntes, trotzdem gern gesehenes) RCA Kabel.Die Betriebsanweisung ist leider mal wirklich klitzeklein gedruckt, aber dafür gleich in sechs Sprachen (E, D, F, I, Esp, Jap), inklusive diverser Troubleshooting Ratschläge.Je nach dem Alter / Model des analogen Gerätes wird man an dem auch erst mal Einstellungen vornehmen müssen.

My older flat tv has a weak speaker and modest output, so I hoped boosting the volume with a DAC would work. Thankfully since this is powered, it works great, giving me the volume I wanted. Good value for these connectors, especially the included digital, thank you~

This is a great little device for getting the best sound out of your TV and powered bookshelf speaker set up. Whether it is watching movies in 4K or streaming Hi-Res music on your favorite app, this DAC will get the job done and sound great doing it. It is a nice upgrade from your standard TV DAC chip and the analog volume control is a nice feature as well. This is a much better solution than simply hooking your speakers up to the headphone output with a 3.5mm to RCA cable. The sound quality is way better with the Prozor DAC unit. I can only speak to a 2.1 channel system using this, but I can tell you the difference is quite significant. If you want to upgrade your audio, without spending a bunch of money, this is a great way to do it!
