This product in the 4 foot length works great for suspending bird feeders that may not have fittings or attachment points. The vinyl coating helps protect your hands and protect an item you may be suspending. The double loop ends are very professionally put together, this is the second cable I have bought, and I am greatly appreciative of the level of detail, and pride, placed in this product line. Thank you for two great looped cables!!

These are fine for hanging very light items or using with a pad lock for basic security (anything can be cut), but I would not use them for suspending or lifting any significant weight. Regardless of the breaking strength of the cable, the cut end of the loop can pull out of the crimp sleeve under much less load. For any lifting or suspension application, look for a sling that is tagged with a load rating appropriate to your application and preferably with flemish loop ends (cut end woven back into the cable and crimped).Note that cable is actually 3/16" and vinyl coating adds another 1/16".
