Needed for some "Pink algae" and this stuff works like a charm. Cleans up quick after brushing down and vacuuming ! Water and pool was cleaner than I've seen it all summer ! Can't go wrong !

Read the reviews, not just mine. I noticed some small spots of pink algae on my pool light, looked and found this stuff. Threw in half a bottle, turned pool green than back to normal and algae gone. HOWEVER, the pool will not hold any chlorine. Have salt generator turned to 100, dumping gallons of liquid chlorine in, wont keep chlorine. Start reading this product reviews.... and review after review after review of same problems, wont keep chlorine due to converting the pool to a bromide/bromine pool. Boy they aren't lying. Nothing is working. Im thinking of draining pool. Thankfully only 13000 gallons, but the cost of adding salt, alkalinity, ph etc is costly. This stuff works, but are you going to pay dearly.....

I am a Baquacil user and this helps keep my pink slime at a minimum. I have been able to rid it for a while and keep my water clear. I use this regularly and it makes a huge difference.

This works great but when you notice you have this mold problem you want this product asap. Takes to long to receive!

We have an outdoor above-ground pool. Every summer I fight the white and pink tissue paper which is actually a mold. I've tried everything. Cleaning the entire pool and super chlorinating does nothing. We also have a large set of stairs. This is where the little buggers live. It loves dark places. I used this Pink Treat and within a day it was gone. I was amazed. A month later, the mold tried to come back but I hit it with the pink stuff and once again, it is gone. I think it returned because we forgot to check the pump filter enclosure. If you run your hands around the inside, all this mold starting coming off. Again, it loves dark places.If I only have to treat every month, that's fine with me. You must follow the directions for it to work. Scrub the entire pool and also check inside your pump where you put the filter. Also check the return where the basked is: another dark place. Treat with the pink stuff. Let it sit for an hour then super chlorinate. We put in an entire bag of shock. The next day we vacuumed up all the dead stuff on the bottom of the pool. I'm very impressed with this product and will definitely buy again if needed.

We had a problem with pink slime in our pool. We went to our local pool store, and surprisingly, they never heard of pink slime. We tried chlorine shock, chlorine tablet, copper based algaecide, and amine based algaecide. We purchased this product from Amazon. Easy to use. Just sprinkle around the pool, and super chlorinate. The pink slime disappeared in two days, and our pool water has never been more crystal clear. Great product. No demerits.

I had the pink Algae and used this product. It definitely solved the pink Algae problem. Unfortunately it created a lot of other problems for my pool. It cost me over $200 dollars worth of pool chemicals after using this product. The pool would not hold chlorine levels which would vanish. Pink Treat kills Chlorine. You have to keep shocking it with huge amounts of shock. The large amounts of shock raise your stabilizer levels too high so your chlorine becomes ineffective. I started using liquid bleach with no stabilizer in it, drain and add new water to reduce the CYA levels. I even called the company and asked why all this was not on the directions. He said we should update the directions since I have been getting a lot of calls. Dah!
