This high-strength bar easily attaches to my various pieces of gym equipment. Great workout add-on, whether you're performing high-weight lower reps or maximizing your hypertrophy reps. To eliminate a slight bar squeak, I added a drop of oil. Every gym should have one.

This clips onto my cable machine with no issues, and provides a nice grippy basic bar.The bar is about the weight you'd expect from a pipe of this length - not unusually heavy or light. No complaints.

I think this is a really well-made and comfortable padded short bar, especially for the $14 price. However, at just under 16" long, it may be too short for some uses, especially if you have wide shoulders. The construction was first rate: very neat and apparently strong welds for the piece with the hole for attaching the carabiner, nice smooth, mottled finish, and even a premium carabiner. The padding provides a good amount of cushioning without feeling squishy or unstable. It's also very "grippy"--my hands didn't slip at all, though I wear gloves so I can't tell how grippy it would be if I used bare hands and they were sweaty. The bar weighs 400g (about 1 lb.), which is fairly light but it feels substantial enough (unless, perhaps, you're used to a much heavier bar) and not at all flimsy. At 16" inches, I found the bar was just long enough to grasp at the ends without having to rotate my shoulders internally. But I have a small frame; this might not be the case if you have broader shoulders. The typical short lat bar is 20" and a longer lat bar is often double that length. Note also that the metal piece with hole to attach the carabiner doesn't rotate, which means you may feel some torque (rotational force) on your wrist during some exercises.I really like this bar and it serves a very specific need I have: a short, well-padded bar for triceps push-downs, narrow-grip lat pull-downs and overhead presses that I can use with lightly-padded gloves that provide good feel and mobility. For some other exercises I prefer a longer knurled steel bar a rotating collar.

I got this lat bar mainly to do tricep push downs. It’s lightweight with a foam handle. I would have preferred a rubberized grip but it does the job.

I have a MARCY brand small home gym setup and it only has a wide grip pull down bar. The addition of this pull down bar allows me to use the machine to do bicep curls and tricep push downs much easier as the shorter and straighter bar is better suited to those exercises.Very happy to add this bar to my home gym.

I just used for the first time and it was exactly what I needed. Easy to grab the end even with sweaty hands. I recommend it.
