Un des rivets rattachant la pièce de bois au tire-bouchon ressortait de celui-ci. Il était mal fixé. Pour un tire- bouchon de ce montant, il y avait clairement un gros manque dans le contrôle qualité.

I originally purchased this corkscrew in 2016 when I was searching for the perfect corkscrew. After I used it the first time, I knew that my search was over. Since 2016, it opened hundreds of bottles of wine. Recently, when attempting to open a bottle of wine with a very dense cork, the screw broke. Initially, I was going to replace it, but then I noticed that there were several similar-looking corkscrews at a fraction of the price. I ordered three similar-looking corkscrews, which came to a fraction of the price of the Pulltex. Although the new corkscrews looked like my perfect corkscrew, within a week, I ordered a new Pulltex.

This is our second Pulltex corkscrew that we own. Our first we'd purchased in Italy about eighteen years ago. It's a little more expensive but worth every penny, high quality all the way. My only complaint is don't be in a rush to get it, it took me a month to receive it and had to follow up with them often enough. 5 stars on the corkscrew, 1star on customer service.

Fit of the wood not quite perfect and the pin attaching the worm began to fall out. Using it takes a little practice, then all good. And the curve and teeth of the foil cutter are just right.

Pin that holds worm fell out after a month poor craftsmanship but beautiful key. Pulltex didn’t really stand behind product. Offered a discount but shipping was more than the discount. Will be looking at other winekeys

This is the real deal, that all those $12 Chinese "professional" "waiters" knockoffs try to imitate. I've used both, and believe me it's no contest. Beautifully and precisely finished and polished, whereas the knockoffs are crudely machined, usually with putty stuffed into the gaps between wood and metal. Foil knife easily and precisely folds out and snaps back; screw is Teflon-coated, spring-loaded and likewise snaps into position. Smooth, rounded surfaces make it a pleasure to use. This is a work of art, not merely a utilitarian device.I bought one as a treat to myself, and I'd recommend it for gift-giving, since the recipient will probably notice the crummy construction of the knockoffs. If you just want something to toss in the kitchen drawer, the $12 pullers are entirely usable, and you aren't going to cry if they break. Try not to patronize the sellers who lie to you by posting misleading information like "Original" "Genuine" "Pulltap's" and so forth.

Expensive / pretty to look at / and has a foil cutter that is so dull that from step one.... uncover the cork ... I knew that this purchase was a lemon! The less expensive versions of this well designed corkscrew are the best on the market. When it comes to function vs looks, if you want something that will actually open your bottle of wine, spend less, but stay with Pulltaps.

This is an excellent corkscrew, if you open a lot of wine then this is definitely worth the price. The blade is very sharp and keeps its edge well. The worm is slightly longer than most corkscrews that I've worked with which makes it easier to remove some of the longer corks. The worm also goes in without any noise, the Teflon coating prevents the cork from squeaking like the cheaper corkscrews. The handle fits easily in the palm. The corkscrew has a fair amount of weight to it which is nice. and the mechanism itself works quite well. Best corkscrew I've ever encountered.

I was looking for a nicer looking corkscrew with the double action pull option...or at least that's what I call it. I think they're called double hinged. I ordered a couple corkscrews to compare them in terms of quality. I like the Teflon cork screw, which makes it easier to screw in. Good feature. The double action/hinge puller is very nice. Overall it functions well and looks very elegant.But...I returned it. The value simply wasn't there. All the metal is polished, almost chrome-like, so it showed finger prints. When comparing to others, I liked the "brushed" metal look better. Also the head or joint of the corkscrew is molded vs machined metal. When something is molded it has an uneven surface... think of cast iron or some other cast metal product. I thought that looked a little tacky. I'm sure that's being overly critical.In the end, the price was too high given the quality. As I mentioned, I bought a bunch and wanted to test them out. The one I liked the most was the True Fabrications Double Hinged Corkscrew. Very very similar, including the Tephlon screw and wood handle. Yet it had brushed metal and only cost something like $15.

I work as a Sommelier for a high end, fine dining restaurant and have definitely gone through my fair share of wine keys over the years and have opened numerous bottles, many of which have some age to them. I received this as a gift from an event that we were hosting, and from the get go, this little baby was phenomenal. Worm was coated perfectly, making it a breeze to get through even the driest of corks. The weight is solid - not hefty and clunky, but you know it is of quality. The best part though is the blade - sharp, serrated and curved, making foil removal very smooth and efficient. I've owned Laguioles and Code38s and this, for the fifth of the price, beats both of them through and through.
