For a pretend fire, it actually is very good. I keep it on the low flame or log setting to make it look more real and 3 on the fire setting. The sound is nice in the background. It’s relaxing and we’re happy with our choice

Arrived well ahead of schedule, was better than expected, looks better than a real fire, heats up our entire living room, more importantly, it can be used without heat and at a low brightness setting to really show off the fireplace without the mess or inconvenience of a real fire.

This fireplace unit is just wonderful.I can’t think of a more realistic and easy way to enjoy the glow in the evenings!If you think you might like it-you’ll probably love it!If you think it’s kinda fake-it’s actually quite realistic!I love it and would buy again if anything happens to it!The heat function is helpful too,but the ambianceIs just what I really wanted!The adjustable crackling is charming too.

I picked out these logs because they come with a remote and allow you to choose heat setting, flame setting, sound setting, all with on/off ability for each feature and a timer you can use too. It was easy to set up and plug in. We had it on all day the first day we plugged it in! It provided a relaxing ambiance to our living room.

We have a 36" x 36" fireplace that we don't use much because it's honestly just too much work. We just wanted something cozy that looked as close to real as possible and puts out some heat. This definitely fits the bill. It looks great in our living room. I keep the fireplace mesh curtains closed and makes it look a little more real. The attached screen really makes the flames stand out and I love the different color options. It's very sturdy and super easy to set up. Took me 5 minutes max. I will say that you should not have anything plugged into the same outlet while using the heat option. Popped our breaker once, so we learned our lesson! My 2 complaints are that I wish it put out more heat than it does (although it does put heat) and the "crackle" sound is very egg in a frying pan-ish as my husband calls it lol. If you turn down the volume to 3 it sounds a lot better. Overall, I love it and would definitely recommend!

Wow! Just the perfect insert! You can adjust the amount of heat it puts out, the fan speed, the color of the “flame”, and the volume of the “crackling” that the “fire” makes while “burning”!!! All of this via its remote control — no need to reach into the fireplace to work any controls!!

Very cozy, semi realistic. Love the customizable flames. Good heat output, though I wish it traveled a bit further from the fireplace. Relatively low noise from the heater fan.
