POLISHING TIPS:
Use the polishing compounds sparingly, black grease marks will appear on the workpiece if too much compound has been applied to the buffing wheel. Remember little and often.

Cotton Shank no good. Would not recommend. Ordered to polish wheels on my truck...would not recommend.

I like this set a lot. The buffing “wheels” are of a size not commonly found, but very useful for details on larger objects like auto and truck rims, and as a general purpose buff for smaller, but not tiny, objects like bracelets and tableware. They can be effectively used with smaller hand drills, large, more powerful rotary drills like the Foredom, and in chucks fitted to small tabletop stationary buffers. I have used them in all successfully.For smaller objects you’re going to want either the buffing wheel or the object to be stationary and securely in place. Even with a light touch, the drag of a wheel can easily rip the object out of fingers, and even a vice.The wheels will shed a fair number of fibers when first used. This is not a defect, it is common to all fabric wheels. Common or not, it can result in a bit of a mess, so use them several times outdoors or in a garage before mounting them to an indoor buffer. I can’t tell you about the compound as I loaded my wheel with one of know characteristics to me. Blue is usually associated with a medium fine abrasive action suitable for softer materials like aluminum and hard plastics. I can’t promise you this off brand polish will follow industry practice, so use cautiously until you become comfortable whith its characteristics.Speaking of compounds, many are going to eventually to wish to be able to use compounds of different cutting action. Just as you don’t sand with only one grit, sooner or later you are going to wish for coarser.or finer compounds, just beware to never apply a finer compound over a coarse one. So that means that having more than one set of these wheels becomes desirable. I use three cutting compounds and one wax on my woodturnings. I have two compounds for honing knives and other edge tools, I have a course compound for steel, and another compound for plastics. Few will require so many specialized compounds, but you get the point, having more than one set of these wheels is very desirable. At the low price of this set, purchase of additional sets is fairly achievable. I have multiple uses fou this size of buff, so I have four sets, each dedicated to a specific compound or wax. So I’ll end before this becomes a chapter rather than a review.Bottom line— a useful set of shapes, in a useful size, of decent quality and for a modest price.

These are smaller than I expected them to be, but given that they're intended to be attached to your drill, I suppose they're an appropriate size. I wish the kit came with at least one larger pad for covering larger areas (such as the dish of a car wheel), but I was able to get the job done with the pieces included in the kit. They're great for getting into those hard-to-reach nooks and crannies of today's custom wheels, so for that purpose they're great. The compound seems to work pretty well, and I used it while polishing up my chrome truck wheels.After putting them through the paces on my large (20"), neglected, chrome truck wheels they held up pretty well and I'd say they still have quite a bit of life left in them. For the price, if you get a good polish on one set of wheels, I'd say they're worth the cost.Overall - recommended.

PURUI ASIN: B0BX4JRGF3 FIVE (5) PIECE POLISHING KIT for use with drill includes four (4) 1/4” shank buffing wheels, one Blue Polishing Compound and User Instructions.The Blue compound stick is hard with no grit listing that I located on materials provided. The four polishing wheels are different sizes and shapes from larger size to smaller for tight spaces. The material to my feel is like cotton as specified by manufacture. The size and shape fits my application in restoration of aluminum automotive wheels.Recommended….. Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ StarYour time and interest looking at my Review is appreciated.
