About this item

  • It is a PWM 4-Wire Fan Temperature Controller. It has a temperature and speed display and a stall alarm.
  • The current value of the four LED indicators on the right side of the display screen indicates that the two LEDs on the first line indicate the temperature and speed of the channel 1 (x10rpm),and the two LEDs on the second line represent the channel two Temperature and speed (x10rpm).
  • This product is not limited by the fan current, but the pin current of the fan interface on the board should not be greater than 3A.If you use a higher current fan, please connect the fan power cord directly to the main power.
  • Note: The working voltage must be equal to the fan voltage. If you use a 12V fan but supply 24V,it will burn the fan.

This product works great just wish came with programming instructions but it’s easy to figure out after pressing buttons. I purchased this as an alternative to Steve Meade TM-1 for my amp rack. This product would be even better it had a remote wire for the buttons and display so I can see the temperature up front in my car but this will due for now. The suggested 120mm fans works well and very quiet. Looks like it has a capacitor inside for setting memory. There is two temperature sensors which control the fans separately so I guess I’ll install them in the same location for push pull air flow control. Saved around 100$ with this alternative.

I found the programming of this little fan controller a tad confusing, but after some experimentation, I think I made sense of it. I wasn't expecting anything different, to be honest. It's a simple device, made for projects like mine. I'm using it inside a large PC chassis to control air flow and help keep noise levels down. I really like that it has two zones (two thermometers, two separate fan controllers). It's working beautifully for my project! I will definitely buy another for the next one.

This is what I have figured out. It might not be everything. You have two different setting menus. A short press of OK, gives you fan low speed settings. A long press of OK, gives you the temperature control and alarm menu. A short press of OK will advance you to the next item in the menu.Low speed menu. Menu cycles Fan1 -> Fan2 -> Main display.Low speed – The lowest speed you would want the fan to run. The values are 10 to 100. On my fan 10 was just above its minimum speed and 100 was just about its maximum speed. Note: If you are going to be using the alarm option, make sure the low speed spins the fan faster than 375rpm.Temperature & alarm menu. Menu cycles Fan1 low temp -> Fan 1 high temp -> Fan 1 alarm -> Fan2 low temp -> Fan 2 high temp -> Fan 2 alarm -> Main display.Fan Low Temp and High Temp– If the temperature is at or below the Low Temp setting, the fan will run at the low-speed setting. If the temperature is at or above the High Temp setting, the fan will run at 100%. Anything between will be scaled between low-speed and 100%.Alarm – you have two settings bon and bof. BON will enable the low-speed alarm on the selected fan. If the fan goes below 375rpm it will sound an alarm. BOF will disable the alarm.

Nice little board, but after following instructions in details (which were not provided in item description nor with item), and trying 3 different 12V fan types, the controller does NOT vary the fan speed. This unfortunately cannot replace a dimmer - would have been nice if it did.

Add some 120mm fans to my bedroom to keep ambience cool while hot, but silent when cool. At nights, fans works almost silent while keeping a soft breeze, and during hot days, a full blast (with little noise due to silent fans). Originally this controller was thought to cool a router, but it worked so well I keep it as my personal automatic fan speed controller for my bedroom.
