this product gives you the choice between always-on power or a crash detection made, which is nice. I was able to register a "crash" by speeding over some unusually aggressive speed bumps near me but it was difficult so I feel it's calibrated well. for the price I think this is an excellent product.

I always have a dash cam in my car, and always find it annoying when it turns on and off every time I turn the car on and off, and wished I could get it to record longer, when I had left the car, just in case someone did something to my car in a parking lot, such as when I am in a store. Well, this OBD power supply has made all the difference. It keeps my dash cam powered on and recording, even after I have left the car, and I like that it has built in protection to not run my battery all the way down. I also like that it has a switch that can make it work like normal, the way it worked with the lighter adapter, and turns on and off with the car ignition. Options are always better than none. It also has freed up my lighter port for other items I have in the car, so that is helpful. Overall, this works great, and I wish I had not waited so long to order one.

Basically just plug and play/use, very easy to install. It also come with a removal tool just on case. Quality is decent, price is good and work with dash cam that use Usb-c power input. Good price and good value. Recommended.

Suppose it would work if your camera uses usb-c. Mine is micro USB and I didn't notice. But I was able to plug it in and charge my phone so I know it works. Would be nice to use for continuous cam functions with the vehicle parked.

I have an older car that I have added several gadgets to, and it was a pain juggling so many power cables running to the 12v cigar lighter. I had no idea that the OBD port could be used as a power source until I stumbled across this device. This particular unit has a handy power switch so I can leave the device plugged in at all times without worrying about running my car battery down.

This is an amazing quick and easy instant power for my dash cam. No need to find a fuse box or run extra wire. Makes life a lot easier.

My car has only a single USB-C port in the front that I use for my phone so I needed a power source for the dash cam, and I got that and more in the Pxm&MM OBD to USB C Constant Power Cable for dash cam. Because it gets power from the OBD port it has power whether the car is turned on or not, however if it was only always on I would be concerned because I've had hardwired dash cams with low voltage protection draining the battery; instead it also has a collision detection mode that it cleverly uses to its full potential by using the slightest detected vibration to send power to the camera for 20 minutes, so opening and closing the door, starting the engine and driving will keep the camera powered, just like a power source that's tied to ignition, as will any hits on the car. So far that seems to be working well. And the cherry on top is it requires no wire splicing. It comes with a trim removal tool too.
