Great help for gaming and take the directional arrows away.

I selected this over other models as it has useful spreadsheet functions, such as the = ( ) keys. The thing is, these 3 keys are programmed with alt codes rather than as normal key presses, so they don't work everywhere, notably on Google Sheets. They do work on Microsoft Excel though, but you can't press and hold. The rest of the keys work normally. Unfortunately, I can't remap them with tools like PowerToys.

Needed an external keypad for the laptop. Have been using this for almost a year now. It is transported around in the backpack and seems to take that abuse pretty well. The zero key seems to require a more firm press than the rest of the keys and it has been this way since new - otherwise five stars based on function relative to price.

I bought this because I needed a limited USB to keyboard interface that wasnโt as complex as a full keyboard but it had to use the keyboard protocol. Instead of taking the time to program an Arduino to do the job, this was way easier, cheaper and faster to just use an existing hardware interface. I have to admit I was a little skeptical, because usually these thin keyboards use cellophane membranes and unworkable interfaces but this one has a real PCB with a decent detachable cellophane ribbon cable interface, not one of those Bolt on pressure contact interfaces, which are notorious for failing. it has a plastic housing with a good piece of sheet metal inside for the buttons to mount on so it is a very sturdy and well-made keyboard. I only needed the interface board and a small piece of plastic, that it was mounted to for my project and it worked out great, I couldnโt be more happier. The PCB has test points on it for the pins that go to the cellophane connector on the PCB for testing and key mapping, which makes it ideal for mounting small wires to like I did. The controller was very forgiving in my test of trying to find the correct combinations I needed, and it works beautifully. If you are looking to use this as a regular keyboard, the keys are well-made, strong and have good tactile feedback with scissor suspension and silicone cup retention. it does not use microswitches so I donโt know about the longevity of this device but Iโm sure it will last you long enough for what you would be using it for at least five years. Overuse of this device could cause premature failure, but all of the switch layers are pretty much sealed so there shouldnโt be too much ambient influence on their longevity. The USB cable on it is kind of thin and flimsy so I wouldnโt go bending it back-and-forth too many times, it might not be good for throwing in your bag with a bunch of other cables etc. It would be fine if you are leaving it on the desktop. The metal plate inside the plastic housing makes it feel sturdy and youโll like the tactile feedback on the keys, I would highly recommend this if itโs what you need. If youโre also looking for a limited USB to keyboard interface the internal PCB will fit the Bill, if youโre good with soldering small wires.

It's quiet, responsive, has all the functions I need. I particularly wanted separate number and arrow keys. The only problem is the '5' key works poorly: when the problem started it did not recognize when applying same pressure as other keys and now it will double type when applying less pressure than others. So now I'm looking for another that's more reliable.

I would use this to type numbers on a daily basis, it broke after a few months, had to toss it. When it worked it was a handy little machine, Iโd recommend spending a little more on a better built unit. Donโt recommend as it broke on me.

This keypad was connected to an older Dell laptop computer that had number keys only along the top of the keyboard. More than anything else, it's an ergonomic improvement. I would recommend this numeric keypad to anyone. A friend who is left-handed got one of these to use simply for convenience.

When I use my small keyboard this works great, light weight and small and stays out of the way till I need it! Would recommend!

Just received my Qishan 34 key numeric keypad, so this is not a longevity review. Many things to like - great to have both arrow and number keys separated. Considering these are membrane keys, they feel pretty good to type on; decent feedback, no obvious bounce. Legible white letters on black. Useful to have the home - end - pageup - pagedown keys separately as well and especially the escape, tab and delete keys which will be useful doing the books in the spreadsheet program. The big problem is the cable is too short - it might be a metre, but I think it's less. So if you're like me with your computer on the left side of your desk and the Qishan on the right, you'll need an extender.

I purchased this item in Jan 2023 and have been using it daily for the last 3 months. I really appreciate the arrow keys together with the number pad, the previous number pad I had didn't have the arrows and I found it time-consuming to go from the pad to the laptop arrow keys. Some of the other reviewers are correct, sometimes certain keys (especially the 5) aren't as responsive and I find myself mistyping.Features I didn't realize I would appreciate so much but I find myself using a lot (as an accountant) is the quick access to open the calculator key and the parentheses keys. Overall a good purchase, wondering if I should have gone for a bluetooth connected one though, but I was afraid of connection issues.
