This type of tip features a flat sided tip end,its large working surface area,suited for drag soldering and pre-tinning of lead wires.

Soldering is very important in the r/c hobby and making good connections is crucial so that motor wires don’t disconnect and batterie terminals and connectors stay connected. A failed solder joint can result in catastrophic damages including wrecks fires even explosions. These soldering tips are of good quality and they heat up quickly and won’t break the bank. The holder is a luxury and keeps all the tips in one place not scattered around in various places. Would recommend highly.

For far too long , I have used an ETA tip on everything. I finally decided I needed the fat chisel tip for some projects and so far it is a huge improvement using the right tip for the job. And the tip holder block is a really good fit, and helps keep everything organized.

Ordered these for my Weller soldering iron. The tip would not get hot. I compared it to an old top which has a solid body. The new tips are hollow and do not work with my iron.

These work as well as the tips that came with my Weller soldering station. I used these to replace some lost and damaged tips. They work just as well as any I've ever used. Would certainly buy again.
