Ordered 2 kits and both failed. Noticed that housing has a lot of flashing and believe that it is not an OEM housing. Bought 2 kits from local marine repair shop and both of them worked. Would not risk buying these again from Amazon.

I went on line and found the Quicksilver Water Pump Body Kit based on the year and make of my boat. I purchased this through Amazon. The one thing it didn't tell me was mid year Mercruiser changed the design and I have the newer version. I had to return the material and go to my local dealer to get the correct parts. There was nothing wrong with the kit I purchased. Note: Double check the engine serial number prior to ordering parts.

Great replacement. Got us back on the lake. On my boat Tige it took about an hour to remove and replace. Been running around 15 hours since install and no issues so far.
