I swapped out an FSA Comet Modular for this RaceFace crankset. Perfect. Coupled with the RaceFace Team X-Type BB Cups, no complaints. Smooth like butter. A solid crank set. They can take a beating.

Bought this crank set for my mountain bike, they are 165mm, purchased this crank set for less pedal strikes, a bit heavy but good quality, should last for years

I bought these cranks because this seller says they will fit a 68mm bottom bracket. They do not. The spindle is too long, even when I put two 2.5mm spacers on both sides of my BB. The drive side bearing will not fit inside the BB flush. Therefore resulting in your cranks not sitting inside the BB properly. This means your cranks will not be secure. Super pissed I bought these cranks and they do not work as advertised. Now I'm out the $120 + taxes that I saved up to buy these. Like I said. Your wasting your money buying these for a 68mm bottom bracket. I warned you.

It’s not their most elegant design, and it’s certainly not their strongest. What it represents is excellent value from a company that consistently makes excellent cranksets. At this price point, something like the entry level shimano deore or the SRAM SX series is comparable, but the raceface aeffect is easily the better choice in terms of aesthetics and durability ( The only crank that offers similar value IMO is the newest truvativ descendant ) The aeffect is a breeze to install and compatible with both boost and non boost applications. I’ve never had a single issue with mine (going on more than a year). I regularly catch a lot of air and take big drops. I’m not exactly a lightweight rider, either (185 lbs). It’s “pinched” molded look won’t win any beauty awards, and it’s alloy is nothing special. But it works. Really well. You’d need to spend about a third more to get into a decent hollow crank like the new shimano SLX, but I’m sticking to this because it hasn’t let me down.

This is the easiest crank to install, if you have the right bottom bracket, and it is totally quiet and stiff. Unless you’re an elite racer and the mfg gives you the titanium crank, buy this and send it!

I have 2 MTBs with this Race Face Aeffect crankset. Bomber design and works really well. Stands up to punishment
