This vinyl rain barrel does seem to be durable enough to stand up at least all growing season, maybe even all year.Assembly instructions are decent enough. I did find the vinyl to be quite stiff trying to assemble on a cool fall morning but it was doable. Maybe letting it warm up in the sun for a bit might have been easier.I might look for a small pump just because I don't have a big drop for gravity pressure. Or maybe I will figure out a stand.

This is a rain barrel that is portable and foldable. It comes in a smaller box, so it is easy to store away. This rain barrel will hold 53 gallons of water. We got this to help us water our garden because our water bill has been creeping up this summer. The instructions are clear and easy to assemble. This rain barrel should last for a while and save us a lot of water. You could also store it in its box and save it for emergencies. It is my understanding that even though it is Rainwater you would still want to filter it to actually drink it but at least you'd have water. This is a good rain barrel.

I have mixed feelings about this. Dedicated rain barrels can be expensive, more expensive than they should be. This, by contrast, has a great price. So that's great! But assembling it is fussy and opens up room for error, and if I'm being frank, I do not have confidence that this will have the durability needed to last very long - and if that's the case, it means I have misgivings about devoting a lot of time and energy to getting it set up and working in a key garden area. It's generally decent for what it is, is compact, and has an unobtrusive look that won't appear out of place in your yard. Those are all good qualities. I just don't know that this is a long-term product. Overall pretty solid, a 3 out of 5.

This barrel is a must have if you want to save on water, I have several plants on my deck, and house plants, the house plants seems to thrive much better with the rain water, so convenient to have the water on the deck

Updated review:The seller saw my post and immediately reached out. They were very professional. They apologized because I obviously received a defective product. So they offered a complete refund or replacement. I chose to have the replacement. They readily sent out a new one and the new rain barrel works great! It’s easy to put together and works just as described.Old review:How is it leakproof when I just put it together and found a huge hole! It was never sewn on correctly.

Heavy duty material. Just installed we'll see how well it holds up as time goes by. But, it's very nice

I think the idea is good to collect rainfall and use it to water plants in the garden. At the time of ordering only 53 gallon is available. I thought it is small but it turns out to be the right size. Now I think 100 gallons may be too big for me to handle. It takes some effort to put it together, probably close to an hour. For joining the pipes I need to use a hammer to tap it in as it is very tight. The biggest effort is to push in the transparent tube (water level indicator) which is too tight too. I even use some grease which only helps a little bit. After spending almost 10 minutes I was able to get it in about 80% and I hope it won’t fall apart later. Otherwise all water inside will come out. I think there should be a better mechanism (or design) in place to make this job easier and more secure. After I set it up it doesn’t look as rigid as what is shown on the web page but it still works. What I like is it comes with a mosquito mesh at the top of the cover which should prevent mosquito going inside to lay their eggs. Also, keep in mind this rain barrel can’t work by standing alone as it won’t be able to collect enough rain water by itself. We need to hook it up to the gutter pipes to collect the water from the roof. So that is another bigger project but I should be able to handle it. To test this rain barrel I put it on my deck. I fill it up about 20% of water. There is nothing leaking which is good. However, when I connect the quick-connect green hose to the bottom faucet water is leaking at the joint. So I probably discard this green hose and use something else to drain out the water. And I believe it is not easy to drain out the water from this bottom faucet unless I elevate the whole barrel.Anyway, I believe after some adjustment I can still make good use of this barrel to collect some rainfall which is going to save my water bill.

These were very easy to set up, worked very well this past growing season, and tear down was also simple for storing. They appear to have withstood a delayed disassemble that resulted in some days of freeze/thaw. No leaks or cracking was noted. I am excited to use them again next season.

UPDATE: YAFF Direct US reached out to make this right. Appreciate the excellent customer service and the care to correct what happened. While my personal experience was not optimal, I would have no issue w buying from YAFF Direct again. Was super happy to see barrel held 50 gallons of water from hurricane helene with no problem. I’m very first use, spigot broke off with little provocation. Good in concept, bad in execution
