The portable rain barrel works very good. I got this to collect rain water for my raised bed garden. I think this is the best way to collect water for healthy plants. The rain barrel is sturdy and holds up well, we just had two rain storms and it was quickly put to the test and I would recommend highly, I love it. Thank you!

I chose to review the, "XITAO Collapsible Rain Barrel, 26 Gallon/100 L Portable Rain Barrel Water Tank, PVC Rainwater Collection Barrel with Spigots and Overflow Kit, Water Storage Tank for Garden Water Catcher (26 Gallon)." I don't think it's heavy duty enough to really do the job and justify the time that it takes to set it up properly. It's a lot of work for something that can only hold 26 gallons. I'm not really happy with it, but I'm looking for a heavy duty type of set up for watering during the dry months. Not for me.THANK YOU AMAZON VINE PROGRAM!!!

I really like this collapsible rain barrel. It is easy to set up and use and collects a lot of rainwater. It is also easy to break down for storage at the end of the season.

The rainwater barrel does not holds its shape well. The side bars that are supposed to provide its form does not hold its shape. Especially at the beginning stages when there is no water in the barrel, the barrel does not hold its shape. You do need a very level foundation for the barrel, which is not always the case near the grass.

I have a few raised beds that are a good distance from my house. To keep from having to run a hose all the way out there, I use these rain barrels and a solar drip system. This one is really nice. It was easy to put together. It's pretty much just a bag on a tent frame. You could easily install this near a gutter system next to your house to collect all the rainwater to reuse. If you do that, I would add a filter or netting to the opening, though.

This Collapsible Rain Barrel Tank is very useful for me. I have always disliked that so much of the runoff water gets wasted because I didn't have a way previously to store and use it. It's just as it was described. This barrel has a spigot valve in the middle plus an overflow spout at the top, and a hose connection valve at the bottom which can be also use for perching clean or emptying the storage container. I love that it includes a mosquito net so you won't be allowing a place for them to spread, but also the net attaches with velcro so it can be removed for cleaning when necessary, and can be washed when soiled with large particles from off your roof that may block up the opening. It's also nice that it is collapsible for when it is not in use. I really like having the water level viewing line so you always know how much water is available for your needs. It's especially a great item to have on hand for when you need extra water to be stored for garden or greenhouse use. I can fill when we have water available and save it for the days our irrigation water gets turned off for some reason. I'm not so thrilled about the petal looking pieces on it, and don't know the reason for those, but it's okay. AT least it covers up the zippered top edge. Not that it adds to the look of the item really, but rather detracts I think. However, I can recommend it for the purpose of water resourcefulness. I'm glad I got one. It's a great easy to use item. Not heavy... until water is added : )

This is perfect for collecting rain water beside our garden. It's cute, too. I'm looking forward to saving on waterline usage, especially if we happen to get into a drought in the summer.
