I don’t have any downspouts where rain flows off our screen porch roof and into my backyard, I installed this to help with the flow of water. It is the perfect size and a good length at 8.5 ft and has has squares between each link. I got the bronze color and it is beautiful. The water falls down the chain links and flows through the squares to a bell on the end creating an effective water feature while limiting the amount of splash I used to have without it and it looks great! Stylish, effective and love the look and sound. I am looking to buy a couple more.

Rain chains are a lovely alternative be to traditional downspouts. This chain is nicely made. It is simple to install. You will have to supply a basin, barrel or other guide to collect and/ or direct runoff. The chains so far have handed some pretty heavy rain without issue. They make a pleasant sound not unlike wind chimes. Seem solid and well constructed. They look very pretty and work well.
