DIYer's easy to install irrigation controller. And it's indoor/outdoor making it more convenient to program near landscape and detect drip irrigation problems caused by teething rodents or careless tool use.

Took very long time to get it … but once I intalled ( 1 hour plus) the AC (24 VAC) did not work , there was no 24 vac voltage 😭☺️🥲… I fixed by putting a 24 VAC external transformer from my previous system , and it worked …it was not worth it to returned … I shoud have it tested before but the manual says it shoud be working from the factiry as is …. no way to see why te 24AC was not working … or to open the sealed compartmen to see was not working … this is my last one from this supply … be aeare !!!!

Automatic sprinkler systems are a mystery to me. I've worked on my own lawns and garden systems for the last 5 homes. Everyone of them terrorized me; but the Irritrol RD900 is a friend in deed. Am I being too expressive..Heck No! This uint literally comes out of the box and 30 minutes later I have the time set, sprinkler length of time, and any other requirement you can think of.30 minutes! I am an enthusiastic supporter of this product. I wish you the same luck I've had.

Got this to replace an earlier version that had failed. It was reasonably easy to install with one caveat. If you are replacing the earlier version which has the separate power supply external to the controller you need to rewire each of the zones to the new wiring board. So, you have to mark each of the feed wires on the old unit with the connection number, remove the old device and then mount the new one and attach the original wires to the correct numbers on the new device. Needless to say but, make sure you leave it unplugged until your reattached all the wires.

Pricey but solidly built, with many discrete electronic components. I could have gotten a much less expensive control but went with this classic Irritrol design mainly to avoid the learning curve of another type. Also, this is a nearly exact replacement for the one that failed at my mom's house, and it's also very similar to my own control at home. Installation was quick and easy - My brother and I took a cell phone photo of the arrangement of the wiring on the old unit and used that as a guide. Other than some debugging of downstream hardware it took us less than 10 minutes to get the control up and running.
