As are all RAM products, this support is built to last and well-engineered. Am using it on a Minn Kota Ultrex foot control. Because of its flexibility it is easy to position and install. The longer shaft works well with my motor and boat --Bass tracker 165. The jaws of the shaft are sturdy and use a clamp, not a strap, and this makes the support extremely sturdy. The jaws are a precise fit for the shaft so don't slam the head down on it (even though the opening is adjustable). This is an expensive support, but when you pay $1000- $3500 for a bow mount, a $100 is not so much for the security. It is well-made and easy to install.

Too heavy just to stabilize your trolling motor arm, and should be adjustable for length from boat to trolling motor shaft so it doesn’t have to be at an angle. Sent back for those reasons
