I bought the entire kit by mistake. I only needed the shock. I cannot atest to how easy or hard the hardware is to install. Installing the shock is very simple. It has been on my truck for about a week now and have had no problems. The only thing I didn't "like" was that the shock comes with a zip tie to hold the boot onto the shock. I prefer clamps so I used a spare clamp that I had laying around.
