This is one heavy duty piece of high quality stainless steel! It comes wrapped so there's no scratches or dings when you unpeel the wrapping! It's definitely sturdy, not lightweight at all. I recommend you pay close attention to the measurements, as not all stove tops and countertops are created equal! I assumed it would be a good fit for my RV stove. I don't use the stove, so this would have helped to extend my counter space immensely. Unfortunately, I shouldn't have assumed, and it's a bit too big for the space that I wanted to put it in. I will be looking out for one that is more suited for my space, I just hope it's as good as this one!

I have a Frigidaire stove that I measured the depth as 22" but failed to take into account the rounded transition from the stove surface to the front face and to the vertical instrument panel which results in a flat surface of 21" depth. The combination of these results in the cover sliding forward with the cover's front lip dropping off the front of the stove. There is no problem with the cover itself, only with my measurement.I got this to provide additional space to set dishes of food on when the whole family comes over with dishes for a get together. The cover is heavier than I expected and should be stout enough to support anything that you would place on a counter (I would not suggest using an appliance on it though). I did not provide a rating for 'Light Weight' as I feel it isn't intending to be. The strips of non-slip material that are supplied with this should be adequate for their intended purpose except in my case as stated above.I hope to come up with a solution for this and will update this review if I'm successful.

This thing is heavy and feels solidly built, but it's a fingerprint magnet. Hard to remove fingerprints on this one. I tried applying Turtle Wax Graphene spray (similar to ceramic spray) and worked for a good few weeks or so. However, the fingerprints are back.

I have a black stainless steel stove, and it's one of the ones that's experiencing some peeling. Mine is peeling on the ledge in front of the burners above the knobs, and is driving me crazy. It's a fairly new stove, and shouldn't need to be covered to hide an issue like that, but it is what it is. This cover hides the peeling area, and looks nice while doing so, which is one of the reasons I wanted a burner cover. It also covers the stovetop burners, so I can use it as an extra surface when not using the stove, if I want.When opening it, I was a bit confused as it was totally covered in some kind of thin white plastic and I couldn't figure out how to remove it. I finally figured it out, and spent the next half hour getting every bit of it off as it literally covered every bit of the surfaces, on top, bottom, sides; every bit of the stainless was covered. I get that they did that to protect it, which it did, but it was still a pain to get it all off. They included a couple of rubber edging pieces to cover the metal edges, so it took a couple of minutes to put those on. After all that, it was covered in fingerprints, so I had to clean it with stainless steel cleaner. But, now it's clean, and on the stove top and I do like it.It's a tight fit, front to back, as the design has a lip on the bottom of the edges, which makes it a bit difficult to maneuver on and off the stove, but it is possible to do so. If they just had straight sides without the little lip edge, it'd be a lot easier to put on and take off.I am concerned that I may have to clean it a lot as it shows every fingerprint, so time will tell if that becomes too much of a pain, or if it's not a big deal. For now, I like it and will keep it on my stove.
