Perfect fit for my boots. These went on with ease using the tool. I would have like to have one extra in case one got lost, but there was enough and that's what matters. They feel pretty solid and the studs didn't stick out too far past the boot tread. I'm glad I got to try these.

Good boot studs. They fit well and the included tool makes it easy to install them.

These seem like quality studs, and the included wrench helps get them started and installed (and removed, if necessary) easily. However, they're on the small side, only about 1/4" of usable thread. If you have thin soles on your boot, these might be sufficient, but I think my new boots would handle at least 3/8" or a bit more...considerably more on the heel, of course. They don't project all that much, either, so I hope they are fairly wear-resistant or they won't last long. We'll see how it goes.

Got these as a cheaper alternative to name brand studs. The shank is a bit shorter than the Simms brand studs. But they do fit, and have performed decently for 1 short trip on the water. They seem decent quality, provide fair grip, and are less expensive than name brand. So far, I recommend these

First please note that the use of studs on wading shoes depends on the fishing conditions. If you are on sand or pebble beaches the addition of studs is really not necessary and in fact limits the places where the shoe can be worn. Drive with studded shoes on and either they will snag the carpet or they will chew up any winter rubber mats. So the studs are installed or removed as necessary. The shoes I have came with studs that look like standard slot head sheet metal screws with a slight indentation. See picture of the stud with the slotted head. The studs reviewed here are different, they have an extra raised button in the screw head center that can really bite through the muck and moss on rocks. The absence of the slot on the head requires a socket style wrench for screwing them in. In the photo I have only screwed them in partially, when fully set they set slightly in the divot with only the head protruding. Helpfully a perfectly sized socket tool is included in the kit.So pack these in the tackle box and if you run into slimy rocks in the stream or need extra grip on the ocean jetty rocks you have the means with you to change from smooth sole waders to studded boots in a few minutes time.

I got what I ordered but the size of the heads on these studs were smaller than the ones from another vendor that I installed previously.I wish the heads were a little bigger.

The studs seem ok. They are much shorter than some I purchased from a fishing company. They were a bit difficult to install and kept falling over. After several tries I had it installed. I assume they will remain secure in my wading boots but only time on the river will tell.
