The helmet features a reversible extension piece that allows players to attach the extension piece to either side of the helmet depending on the side of the plate they hit from. Wrapped jaw pads make the helmet more comfortable and allow for a better fit. The R16 Reverse meets NOCSAE Standards. With COOLFLO ventilation, Heat Exchange technology, and a professional fit, players have the confidence to stay cool at the plate and on the base paths. Finished with a professional one-tone paint job. Senior helmets fit hat sizes to 6 7/8 through 7 5/8. Junior helmets fit hat sizes to 6 3/8 through 7 1/8.

My 13 year old son moved up in baseball age brackets last year, so we had to move to the Sr size. This Rawlings helmet has really stood up to the tossing, dropping, etc. The face guarded added to the product was helpful versus having to find one to attach... the guard when purchased alone is almost as expensive as the helmet. It's nice because you can pick which side to add, and it matches the helmet. My son picked the Rawlings version from researching the options and says he likes this helmet since he can get it over his ears, but it still feels snug and protects him. He can also adjust it a little depending on the sun, etc.

Great fit for our 10U baseball players melon head. love the extra protection provided with the cheek guard and it doesn't impact his vision. He feels like a pro with this style helmet, but it does not make him play like one.

I got this for my son after seeing a player get hit in the face with the ball. This helmet protected his mouth so it’s a must have for baseball.

Great helmet for the price! We ended up buying the one with chin guard on it because he started kid pitch this year and it is removable. Just keep in mind until the kid is completely used to it, may want to remove it here and there, I tend to think it makes some kids have sort of a blind spot if they aren't used to it right away.
