We lost a 10 lb ball due to a bad crimp. I bought 2 of them.Going back to Scotty releases that attach to the back of the ball.

Very disappointing to start a tournament and have a stupid failure like this. The crimp “securing” the snap swivel gave up an lost us a ball and working assembly. This combined to a total replacement cost of around $75 with the lost ball

Nice product but don't make the same mistake I made and assume that there is a pair of these release clips in the package. There is only one.

It takes a while to get the release settings correct. I also found that if you don't let out enough line before clipping it on, the pressure of your rod will wind the bait in close to the weight. Letting out a few dozen yards of line before clipping on your bait will prevent that from happening.

This is a simple but effective product. should last for years of dependible use. Cant think of any improvements.. it's secure and wont end up in the bottom of the lake unless your DR cable breaks. No more pinch pads for me..
