Strong motor but with 8turns you need a no limit esc other then that it’s good

I waited a month for the motor and it burnt up on the first run. My 13t apex motor had the same gearing and is still running strong. Not the same quality as old 8t motors

After trying a couple of Amazons brushless motor/ESC combos and getting nonworking items I decided to go brushed. This motor ROCKS! I put the 7t motor in my Traxxas Slash 2wd to replace the 12t motor and it flys! It does get very hot so get youself a cooling fan to go with it.

Wanted to try out this motor. Picked it up and gained 5mph just with this motor swap. I was running a traxas speed control on a 3s battery. Same combo with stock motor ran 35mph max speed in May Losi V100.

Great old school replacement. If you know how to take care of brushed motors, this is a great motor.

I still need to break-in and run this motor to assess its performance. Despite that, see the photos for those of you who need guidance with wiring the motor leads, adding capacitors and adjusting timing. As you can see, there's a (+) on the endbell indicating the positive side of the motor. You can wire the leads on either of the terminals (brush or spring posts) on the same side. However, I would recommend using the tab closest to the brush wire to reduce resistance and provide easier access to the retaining spring. I have also added capacitors to either side of the motor to reduce EMF. At least 2 caps are recommended wired in this fashion. If you still have interference, a 3rd is optional but, needs to be wired across the positive and negative posts. Lastly, the timing is fixed on this motor (note the wide notch on the motor can where the endbell fits) and is non-adjustable.

This product did not come with instructions or a diagram for where to solder the connections, it’s not obvious. I can’t use it as a result and have no idea how it works.
