I don't write many negative reviews at all, but in this case, I want you to learn from my problems. I use my boat sometimes daily, sometimes several months will go by. In this situation, I used my boat a month and a half ago and it ran great, but replaced the bulb, and went to use it. The engine ran terrible, but I didn't blame the bulb. I blamed me not using the motor for 45 days and ethanol. So, I learned to take my carb apart, clean out every part and rebuild it. I did this, and the motor would run ok for a few minutes, and then would continue to run inconsistantly. Maybe I am not too bright, or I figured it was impossible for a bulb that visibly appeared to be ok was causing problems, but I tore that carb apart 3 times after following many other dead ends. The only thing I didn't investigate was the bulb, which I had changed. It was this bulb, and after replacing it with a much more expensive bulb, all of my problems went away ( engine was unreliable and unusable until I switched it out). After closer inspection of the bulb, I found rot in the rubber that was very likely letting air into the carb. Shame on me for not inspecting the one thing I had changed and wasting 6-8 hours chasing other issues down. This bulb is a bad investment.

3/8 barbs are metal, rubber is soft and easy to squeeze. One way check ball works flawlessly. Very happy with the product and the price is very fair. Would recommend this to anyone that needs a check ball.
