When my door was replaced, they forgot to remove the magnet and put it on the new door. Was wondering why my door alerts were not working and then found the magnet to be missing. Just used one magnet form the package and my alerts are back, thank you.

I build and run short term pop-up escape rooms for a local community library. Because I do this for free, I'm always looking for cost-effective ways to make interesting locks and gadgets. Using one of these as a sensor for a "tricorder" for a Star Trek themed room. Hiding the magnet in a "gem" in a boulder on the alien planet. Works really well. The sensor is quick and very responsive, so the participants don't have any problem finding the right spot.

Nothing negative to say. They either work or they don't and these do. They are normally closed which means they make contact when tfe magnet is present.

The product seems like it would be a good product. I wish they had in the product description what size drill bit is needed for these. All three of the spade drill bit kits I have for making holes in wood have 3/4" and 5/8". 3/4" is too large and the 5/8" is too small. Maybe an 11/16" is what is needed but did not have one that size in any of my selections. Guess I should have notice that all their measurements were metric so it may take a metric size hole.

This is window and door switches, for burglar alarm. This was used as a door switch, and it senses too far, allows the door to open almost two feet before alarming. The actual sensing distance on these units that I received is almost a foot, requiring either relocation of the switch to maintain function, or use something other than this switch.

These switches worked as intended.Be aware of the fact that these are advertised as "normally closed", if the magnet is near the switch it closes, take away the magnet and the switch opens.
