I like that it seems like it sealed our roof well.I also liked the fact it washed off fairly easy with warm soapy water!

Not an actual alpha systems product. It has a RecPro label on it.

Seems to be holding it's own pretty well, good competition for DiCor who just seems to be getting even more expensive.

First a minor issue, absolutely no directions on the tube. It won't tell you what to use to clean up the caulk, how long it will take to cure....nothing. Second the more major issue, this stuff is very difficult to tool. Once you lay the bead of caulk, anything you touch to it to tool it will stick to it (your finger, painter's tape, caulk tools, etc.). When it sticks to something, it creates long thin strands of caulk that get all over everything. I wish I would have tried one tube before I bought 4! It is almost impossible to get a nice finished project.

Others have stated it's hard to use, but it goes on very similar to silicone caulk. However, where you have about 15 minutes to tool the silicone, this caulking starts becoming stringy after about five minutes. You adjust the length of your lines accordingly. Run one 12 foot line and smooth it before starting another and it works great. Most people having problems have probably not done much of this type of work before. For starters, use a silicone rubber caulking spreader with some paper towel and keep it off your fingers. Spending about 2 hours to recaulk an RV roof, it never got hard in the tip either. I did not follow the manufacturer's instructions of going over the top of deep cracks. After washing, I gutted out the cracks (original caulk was still semi-soft) with a small screwdriver so it opened up any voids and gave it plenty of grip to the old stuff. I'm sure the main reason for this is so you don't slip and tear your roof; which is good advice. Use two hands, go slow, and be patient.
