Wasn’t heavy duty as described, especially for the price.

I found an old Reed & Barton spoon & loved the feel of it. Ordered one set to make sure it was the same before I ordered more. They style is the same but the new spoon is half the weight of the old spoon. It's not that they are bad they are just not the quality of the old spoon I had. I have no idea how old it is.

This set is pleasantly plain but classic. It very easily works on a casual or more formal table. I really liked that this set wasn't so ornate and matched up pretty close to our existing flatware. The design is a good combination of traditional and modern. As well, each piece has a solid feel without being too heavy or awkward. We make heavy use of this place setting on a daily basis and the entire set goes through the dish washer at least once per day. So far, no discoloration, scratches or rust. This was a good price for good quality flatware and we plan to buy another set to have on hand as the old set we had before this one runs its course. Actually, flatware is like missing socks in our house and I suspect the missing pieces have ended up in the garbage. If you have children or absent minded adults, this set isn't too expensive and individual pieces can be ordered if you need to replace it.

I've always struggled with stainless steel flatware rusting and spotting in the dishwasher. I bought this set about 4 months ago hoping it would meet my expectations. They are very strong. I've had no issues with bending or distorting. They have a great feel in your hand, a high quality feel with a nice luster.I have years of experience with Stainless steel. I can tell you that all stainless is not created equal. Stainless steel is NOT rust proof, a common misconception. All stainless contains a small amount of iron, this is what causes rust. Due to the hard water with a high PH my flatware tends to rust in the dishwasher. After dozens of runs thru the dishwasher I can say that this set performs and holds up well. The only rusting I have experienced was on 1 knife that I have, this is the only reason it did not receive the 5th star. All in all this set is great, a little pricey but great. the 18/10 combination is ideal for corrosion protection for stainless steel.

I've been shopping at Crate and Barrel, Restoration Hardware, and looked at a few sets from other reputable names for a polished, clean, simple, and classic flatware set. The weight of these are spot on. Not overly heavy but not cheap and light feeling. The knife is not serrated yet still very sharp. I love that they are 18/10 stainless steel. The price is more than reasonable, especially when comparing them to similar sets from C&B and RH! I feel like I have a luxurious set at a bargain.

I bought 4 sets of this flatware out of college. Good flatware is expensive. However, if you just buy a nice set of 18/10 flatware that doesn't have any crazy designs on it (might not be attractive in 10 years) you shouldn't ever have to purchase flatware again. These have a lifetime warranty. They are very shiny, strong, and have excellent weight to them. I bought several of my sets through Amazon Warehouse deals. I figured the flatware couldn't have been damaged much, and they must simply be a returned items or something. I was very pleased and saved at least $10 per set doing this, so make sure you check out Amazon Warehouse or even buy these used. Spend the extra cash and get a nice set of flatware, then never worry about wasting time looking for flatware ever again!

the flatware looks great, but it is made in china and the knives appear to only have 18/10 stainless steel on the handles, after about 6 weeks of use a couple of the knives got rust spots and had to be thrown out

In person this flatware is more shiny and sparkly than the photo! Very happy about that. We also liked the simplicity of the design and the 18/10 quality. We had a cheaper pair of flatware bought at a warehouse store -- with the trendy clear handles -- but one by one they broke. So we decided it was time to take a more serious approach and not keep wasting our money. These have been great so far. And they come out of the dishwasher beautifully. The flatware arrived pretty quickly and nicely packed. It doesn't come with a fancy storage case but since we are using this for everyday we were happy it didn't come with a box that needed to be stored. Very happy with our choice!
