My 2021 f150 kept throwing an error that the trailer lights weren’t working. A little research online and it seems the problem is my trailer has all LED lights that don’t draw much current. The truck is too smart for its own good and says the trailer lights are out or they aren’t connected. Pop this thing in and problem solved. Glad I tried this before getting under the trailer and trying to chase down a loose connection that isn’t even there.

This adapter Immediately fixed the hyper-flashing my LED trailer lights exhibited on my 2025 vehicle. I was also getting a turn signal malfunction error, and that disappeared, as well. Plugged it in; problems gone. All lights work perfectly.

Had issues with new truck not recognizing my small trailer. No 7-4 pin adapter didnt work, went through three thinking it was just an adapter issue. Then I discovered this thing and issues with led lights. I plugged this in, then my 7-4 pin adapter, then trailer into it I was back in business.

I have a 2023 Sierra and the center console display only shows the truck's side blind spots when there is a trailer connected. This device serves as a 'phantom' trailer fooling the truck to give me the side camera views even when not towing. The one down side (costing a star) is the connection cover has a bottom tab that wedges against the bumper making the fit a bit too tight. I'll have to Dremel that tab off.

Purchased this to solve trailer recognition for my 2021 GMC sierra 2500 not recognizing my 2023 boat trailer equipped with low voltage LED lights. Once received plugged it into the trailer and the vehicle immediately recognized my boat trailer and all function performed as they should including light test and all running lights.Overall it’s exactly as described and functions flawlessly.

It successfully fools the computer and now I can use the mirrors on each side with the camera’s when I have my turn signal on. It fools the truck into thinking you are pulling a trailer. The settings came up and I programed it for the lightest trailer. This is on a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. If you take your truck through a carwash, pull the pin out and re-insert it after the carwash. It will fill with water and won’t work. If you forget, like I did, just pull it, empty the water, and reinsert. At least mine worked after. Easy fix.

I own a 2014 Audi Q7 with the factory installed tow package (hitch, control module, etc). When I hooked my 1992 bumper-pull camper trailer (half incandescent lights, half LED lights) to the Audi's 7-pin flat-style plug, no lights. I tested the trailer on my Ford truck with the same plug (no adapters used) and all lights on the trailer worked. I knew my Audi was to blame.I did some research and found multiple potential issues causing the problem. I decided to "test" the most rational problem, the Audi did not like LED lights on the trailer, so I ordered this adapter. This adapter is great, solid, has good pin contact/retention, and seems like it'll last forever.Boom! With this adapter, all lights lit up on my trailer (markers, running lights, turn lights) but brake lights (supposed to shine brighter when brake applied) did not light up brighter, they stayed the same brightness. That's not to blame on this product, it actually worked fine.If you have the same vehicle or type of vehicle (Euro-style) where all lights work with this adapter but not brake lights, I found out when the dealership installed the factory tow-package they failed to "program" the vehicle for US-style brake signals (the vehicle defaults to "pulse" style brake signals, which don't work on US trailers). FYI!
