Replacement for Mopar J4006681 and 6033172. May fit other models and transfer cases as well. These are used on the transfer case to transmission mounting studs. Free spinning nuts are necessary to mount the transfer case because they work as a lock nut by creating tension when tightened, however, when removing them, as soon as the tension is broken they will unscrew like a regular nut without backing out the stud. Other types of lock nuts would back the stud out during removal and regular hex nuts would come loose during use. These are a high quality direct OEM replacement, better quality than the factory nuts. Note: These are intentionally tight fitting to withstand vibration in the drivetrain. Do not chase the threads to loosen the fit.

These bolts were exactly what we ordered after the threads were chased they did not thread right on we thought they were incorrect at first.
