This transfer switch just arrived and immediately I found a broken circuit breaker. I saw at least one comment from a previous buyer that had the same issue. The packaging is almost non-existent. I shouldn’t have to order replacement parts for a brand new purchase.

This is a great product and easy to install if you are an electrician, other handy-man types my have difficulty. For my application of this panel the 20 amp circuits are not of use, and would like to replace the 20 amp breakers with 15 amp breakers but have been unable to find exact replacements online.

The box was easy to install and not long after, it was put into service. We had a power outage shortly after and it worked just like it is supposed to.When the power came back on I just switched it back to line and all was good.Great product and well worth the money.

Sooo. If you have a main panel and a sub panel it makes sense to put all of your generator circuits in just ONE panel. So you'll need to think about that (and that requires alot of legwork to get right).Overall, besides my situation, it was an easy install. The switches work great. I use all of them as 120v circuits and no 240v. I got the important stuff like furnance fans, kitchen lights, refrigerators (I have two), living room lights and plugs, master bedroom lights and circuits, etc.I left the wires alittle long as I plan on upgrading my current generator (5500w) to a 10k model in the future and Id like to move circuits around to take advantage of the added power.Keep in mind that the transfer switch has two sides, do your best to balance the load on each. Sadly, this model doesn't have loadmeters but I could install them down the road. So far I've had two power outages and its been a pleasure to use this thing.Oh yeah, this is only a fraction of the price you'll need to spend. You will need to get the actual generator cord (I used a 10 gauge (good for 60amps I believe?) 25 feet. That'll set you back 90-110 dollars.Overall, extremely happy. This makes the hurricane seasons, icing storms a breeze!

I have not lost power yet to have to use it long term, but I did fire it up and it runs great....

Great product, solid construction, and "simple" installation. but you need to know what you are doing, it came with very basic instructions if you decide to do it yourself be very careful to check and recheck your connections before you turn the main power on. Better yet, hire an electrician. The transfer switch is great if anything that can be said that I found difficult matching the cables due to the color of the marking on them, especially in the red wires.I will buy it again.

Had to send mine back to amazon warehouse deals but I have experience with the smaller version of this one installation is identical. Very well built design. Easy Easy Easy to install you don't need an electrician It is labeled very clearly and very easy to work with only basic tools required unless your mounting this to concrete. Then you need a drill and drill bit to drill into the concrete. You can get it at harbor freight you don't need a contracter grade drill its four holes. You could probably get away with a standard drill and masonary bit but hammer drill and masonary bit goes into concrete like butter. And yes I used a hammer drill from harbor freight and bosch sds mason bit from amazon.
