switch entire circuits on/off to maintain generator load during blackout. Put this inside and a generator plug outside, and suddenly super easy power outage living... :) Mine had 6 circuits so I can flip the fridge/freezer circuit on ever 6 hours or so and they are fine, the rest of the time the rest of the house runs without loading up the generator or shifting extension cables all over the house.

The install videos are simple and excellent! It would be nice if one could customize the breaker configuration. I had to buy a couple of breakers and replace two that were there because I needed a 15 amp double pole instead of a 20 amp double pole and I needed one single 20 amp pole instead of all 15 single amp poles.Also the conduit piece that connects to the main panel is only 16 in and I couldn't get my switch that close to the main breaker box I needed 20 in. So I had to run to the hardware store to get a longer piece of flex conduitIt. would be better to have a 24-in conduit and let the customer custom cut to the application.

Solid quality. I didn't need the power meters so this was perfect. The left panel was already generator backed up but there were a few circuits I wanted to back up on the right panel. Using the same generator for both panels now. A couple of things; it would be helpful if either there was a breakerless version or option to buy with 20amp breakers. I ended up tossing the 15 amp breakers and replacing with 20 amp ones. Also in new construction most of the breakers in the panel are GFCI or AFCI which the stock setup in the transfer switch are not. If you want to use G/AFCI breakers in the transfer box you have to add neutral wires to wire the neutrals in series. Depending on your breaker set up (pigtail or not) then you will have to run either one or two neutral wires per circuit between panel and transfer box plus an expensive breaker. That ends up being a lot of extra wiring. Then you will find that the GFCI circuit breakers cost 10x more than a standard breaker. ($50 vs $5). In the end I just used standard breakers and live with the 'nuisance' trips of the main breakers when the power is restored.
