What is exhaust gas recirculation valve?
The EGR Valve is an emission control device.
It modulates the flow of exhaust gas into the intake manifold to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.
It's used to reduce fuel consumption,improve engine performance.
Note: Before installing this part, check the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve passage in the intake manifold and clear any carbon blockage.
Failure to do so will result in repeat malfunction of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve system.

I ordered this to replace the original EGR valve on my 2007 Pontiac Torrent. When I got it, the plastic shroud that the wiring harness plugs into was broken. I sent it back and had it replaced. The second one was in one piece, but the hole drilled in the valve that holds the bottom bolt was not drilled deep enough to fully seat the bolt. So I used a locking washer as a spacer to make it fit. Everything was fine for 4 months. Now the car is throwing the code that says the valve is sticking open, so I guess I'll be ordering another one. I just really don't have anything positive to say about this product right now. Pretty frustrated about the whole ordeal.

This thing died after three weeks. This is what I get for being cheap I guess. Just spend the extra money and order an AC Delco EGR. It is sad that my old EGR (AC Delco) still works better than this pile of garbage.

The mounting holes seemed to be off a little, but maybe it was just me. Gasket was included. Seems like a good deal if it lasts.
