This is my first frame drum. I had to get used it, since I was just learning. After playing four or five times I was able to play it to its potential. Well, of course I'm still learning. I really love the sound. It's had to put it down after picking it up. The delivery was quick.

I was blown away by the low tones (dums) of this drum, and the high tones (taks) are superb!

The drum has a decent tone and is fairly attractive to the eye. However, I'm giving it 3 stars because the "skin" itself is very rough to the touch and came with a large glob/streak of what I'm assuming is glue on the drum head. The latter is most disappointing considering the cost of the drum.

I have three tars from this group and love them all. The sound is really good and they are light weight. Visually they are quite stunning.

Fantastic instrument. Looks and sounds like a skin drum, but the synthetic material enables you to play in any weather. No tuning needed. I highly recommend this size for the deep, beautiful tone. This is my first frame drum, and I have to say it's a fabulous introduction. Eventually I may graduate to skin drums, and tuning, though this fits my needs perfectly. The company delivered quickly, and it was packed well for shipping. High 5's!!! I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist and Healer. I also have a Master's Degree in Music.
