The ball is not smooth, it seems to have bumps. It fits properly, but does not move smoothly because of the bumps

I ordered a new track ball for my Logitech Ergo M575 mouse as there was a defect in the ball that caused the track ball to get stuck sometimes -- a minor inconvenience.The replacement I ordered off this merchant was not nearly as smooth as the OEM part and appears to be a bit roughed up and has visible red marks on it. When I inserted the replacement, it moves far less fluidly than the old one, making it difficult to use.

This is the perfect replacement for the ball in my MX Ergo, but the thing is, they're just too expensive.

Tried with Logitech MX Ergo and made it worser than my old ball. Notices tiny scratch and not smooth feeling. For now, I use the ball from my old 507 and much better.

I actually purchased this trackball as a replacement ball for my Jelly Comb MT50 trackball mouse as the one that came with it did not feel as smooth as I would like, and tended to make noise in the socket if I moved the unit around. The Logitech M575 was mentioned as having the same ball size. This particular replacement ball fits even better in my MT50 and feels smoother than the Jelly Comb original. I highly recommend it.
