Outdoor enthusiasts know that when the going gets tough, so should their insect repellent. However extreme the activity or terrain, there's a Repel insect repellent designed to offer dependable coverage that lasts as long as you need it. Repel products make effective mosquito protection simple under any circumstance so you can heed the call of the wild wherever the trail takes you. Repel Permethrin Clothing & Gear Insect Repellent is designed to be applied to clothing and gear, rather than on skin. This insect repellent repels and kills the mosquitoes, ticks and chiggers that can take the fun out of an outdoor adventure. One treatment lasts for 2 weeks, so you can protect your clothing and gear for your next outing and be ready to go at any time. This unscented spray helps create a mosquito barrier for your gear and clothing so you can focus on all the outdoor activities you enjoy. Apply to gear including nets, tents, sleeping bags and backpacks. This product contains an active ingredient that actually binds to the fabric being treated. It provides residual protection for a minimum of two weeks and will hold up through several machine washings. Insect-Free Hiking

A little planning can go a long way toward staying mosquito-bite-free in the backwoods and on the water. Simply apply Rebel Permethrin Clothing & Gear Insect Repellent aerosol on all your equipment before you're planning to be outdoors, and you'll enjoy mosquito and tick protection that repels and kills biting insects for up to two weeks.

The odorless spray actually binds to the fabric on garments, boots, backpacks, tents, nets, and other outdoor gear, ensuring residual protection that lasts through several machine washings and multiple outdoor excursions.

Safe and Effective

Permethrin, the active ingredient in Repel Permethrin Clothing & Gear Insect Repellent aerosol, is a synthetic pyrethroid that works by disrupting the normal functioning of the nervous system of mosquitoes and ticks. It's a contact insecticide that kills all biting insects that come in contact with treated fabric fibers.

Permethrin-based repellents are safe for use with any type of fabric or material--even delicate garments. The insecticide binds very strongly to the fibers of the fabrics you treat, but will not absorb into the skin. The aerosol is designed for clothing application, however. Do not spray products containing permethrin directly onto your skin.

Application Recommendations

Spray garments or equipment at least two to four hours before you're planning to use or pack them to make sure they're completely dry. Lay out the articles you want to treat in a well-ventilated outdoor area and moisten the surface of the fabric until the outer surface is visibly moist. Turn it over and treat the other side, then hang to dry.

You shouldn't reuse Repel Permethrin Clothing & Gear Insect Repellent aerosol more than once every two weeks. Wash treated clothing at least once before you treat it again. Use permethrin-based products in conjunction with an insect repellent designed for direct application to your skin for best results.

I think you get 3 washes out of it . In mosquito country I always do 1 pair of socks , pants and long sleeve shirt . spray outside , hang out side to dry . Not discoloration issues

When I need protection against ticks and chiggers I spray the bottom 2 inches of my boots. This works good as long as I'm not wading through tall grass and weeds. If I was to do that, I would need to wear pants and spray from my thighs on down. This is not meant for bare skin. I really like the spray button because it does not leave any liquid on my fingers. If you want to do outdoor activities during the spring and summer you will want this product.I highly recommend it and will buy more when I run out.

I used Repel Permethrin Repellent this past week on a camping trip with my family. We sprayed our clothes, sleeping gear, and even fishing gear. This stuff is amazing. Even horseflies didn't want to settle on my jeans. My son sprayed his fishing pack to repel gnats and other small flying bugs. I was relieved that I didn't have to worry about bugs landing on my clothes.Combined with insect repellent for our skin (this product is NOT to be used on skin), I camped for five days and had ONE bite. Singular. For the whole trip.If you're an outdoors person, whether you're camping or hunting or fishing or picnicking or hanging out on your patio, you definitely need to give this stuff a try. I'm sold. I'm never going camping again without it. I hope I've been helpful!

Repel really works. It was the first time I ever tried it when flies were everywhere and they were biting my skin. I put repel on and never got another bite. I gave this for stars because when I ordered it, I Failed to see that it should not be put on the skin. That was my mistake and now I have a whole case and it is not returnable. I still think it’s a good product. I used it in the woods and did not get one tick bite even though the ticks are bad where I live. I’m sure it’s better anyway, avoiding putting chemicals on your skin.

I didn’t have time to get vaccinated before my trip to Nepal and I was concerned because my buddy who lives there got yellow fever last year from a mosquito bite. I followed the directions perfectly and between treating my outerwear and using bug spray on my ankles each day- I got back to the US after 42 days as healthy as I was when I left (thankfully). I’ll definitely buy this again and recommend it. I looked at other options, but this is what someone suggested to me so now I’m going to suggest it when people ask me what I use.

Follow the instructions. Definitely seems to help keep the ticks off in the New Jersey Pine Barrens.

Don't really have any complaints, I soaked two shirts, one jeans and a bunch of socks with this and it's seemingly effective. But the nozzle needs to be improved as it often doesn't release the spray.
