Second review, because apparently I need to review Amazon's reviews because they're idiots.Great company, great product. Accidentally bought the wrong one the first time, made a return, they promptly sent me the right one and it worked wonderfully. Definitely recommend!

Working great. So much better that what I bought at the local hardware. The glue stayed where I put it and didn’t drip all over like the local product.

The fit is fine. Now in second year of use. When you install this rope be careful with the black glue. Consider wearing gloves and putting down protection on your hearth from stains.

Product pictured with 3M adhesive backing was not the product I received. Unfortunately, I cut the product and only then measured the entire length of the item. I ordered 7 feet ... received 6 feet. Also, adhesive was not what was shown and was only on half of the 3/4 wide flat gasket .. there was no identification on the peel off strip as to who may have made the product/adhesive. And, I pulled one string on the side of the gasket and the whole side unravelled ... never again will I order from Pellethead ... seriously disappointed ...

Not a 3M product. Not 3/4 inch wide - it's 1 inch wide

Had to find a video on you tube for installation. Once we found that it was easy. The fit was very good.

My biggest issue is tring to cut and keeping it from unraveling. Once cut there isn't anyway to join to ends. It begins unraveling after installing. Need some heat resistant tape to tape ends up.

Easy to install. This was my first experience with a self adhesive gasket and it is the only way to go. Our smoking up on the glass stopped immediately much to my joy.

The factory "cloth" packing around part of the window of our 25 year old Heatilator Arrow woodstove had given up and come out, allowing air in through the resulting space and making the stove far less efficient. This self adhesive packing slipped into the space with some gentle pushing with a plastic card, and the adhesive didn't complicate the installation process. Once in place the adhesive was firmly pressed against the metal door and it has held well. The stove has been fired up for much of the time since I installed the new packing and the rope has restored the stove to it's almost-all-night efficiency. As I cut and split much of my own wood that's a big plus! The heat pump and electric bill like it too. The adhesive hasn't budged in the first month.Note to home DIYers...I couldn't get the screws holding the metal tabs that hold the window loose, but I used nothing stronger than Blaster penetrating oil. I did not use the impact driver on the screws as I didn't want to chance breaking the glass. That would be a disaster. I cut the packing to lengths between the tabs so I have small areas where air leaks in, but it's minimal and a lot less hassle than replacing the glass.
