This fit just right on a pit boss 1000T4.Replacement isn't too difficult if you are handy with tools.So far, temperatures are as stable as they always were on this model.For the value of this it pays to have a spare as backup so if the probe goes out you have one on hand. I like to keep backups of the burn pot, igniter, auger motor, fan, and temp probe because on these pit boss barrel models those are the things that need periodic replacement and you don't want to lose a piece of meat because a part went bad.
