Its been only a couple weeks, but this thing works better than the factory controller! Gets hotter and holds temp better than what had burned up. Completely plug and play, just follow the color codes. I used my old thermostat just to see if it worked, it did.This is an old traeger, eastwood i believe. Was kinda hard deciphering which one i needed.

I purchased as a spare. My old unit quit yesterday, installed this unit and nothing…. Doesn’t work right out of the box. Not happy - and of course I’m out of the return window…. Learned my lesson, getting higher quality next time.

Did not plug in because I when looking at the back of the device, the circuits had insulation that was messy around the wires and the solder points didn’t look the best, so I returned it. I bet it works fine, but because there are tons of aftermarket controllers out there within 10-15 bucks, I returned it.l in order to find the cleanest one. This probably works really well, I just never ended up installing it. If you’re looking for the cleanest, out of the 5 I purchased to compare, I got the tr-100 by ortech. That was $60, but it was extremely clean, has a phone number in the USA to call if anything is amiss, and it has thousands of great reviews on Amazon, the smoking meat/traeger forumns, and Reddit. Honestly, I’m not one to say made in America is just better, because that’s not always the case, but the one I bough and kept (not this one) was so much mechanically cleaner with the solders. If that’s not important, keep this one.

Works great, was just a bit off on the sizing to fit in place of the original Traeger panel. So 4 stars for fit, 5 for function and price.
