These filters are better than described, they seem to be of great quality, are a great value because they seem to be equal to OEM filters. They take out chlorine, heavy metals, fluoride, particles, and unwanted tastes from the water. It is very quick and simple to install. The activated carbon does a good job of reducing contaminates. Highly Recommend.

I recommend to avoid this product. I ordered two pairs one month apart --scheduled to continue as a subscribe and save frequency. When my second subscribe and save order came one month after the previous, I attempted the installation. I have a four filter Berkey water filter system. First I flushed out these replacement filters under the faucet and the first ran out a gray liquid as a charcoal filter does ( I did not think the bottom filters had charcoal like the upper filter ) and then ran clear. They screwed on easily to the bottom of the filters in the upper chamber of my Berkey. The second pair did not flush out with gray water - just clear . ...then would not screw onto the bottom of the charcoal filters in the upper chamber -- no matter how hard I tried. Neither would. I looked under a strong light and saw that there was something obstructing the threads that should screw onto the bottom threads of the upper Berkey filter.- It looked like either some glue or faulty molding of the plastic threads during the manufacturing process. So i arranged to exchange these two for another set thinking this set was defective. So I plugged two of up the holes in which the filters are inserted so that I could still filter water with just two filters instead of four. when I filled up the water tank I could hear the water flowing fast and forcefully right through the filters into the bottom tank. I had never heard this with the Berkey filters. I tasted the water and it did not taste good like newly purchased Berkey filters always had. Previously when I installed fresh Berkey filters the water tasted almost like vanilla...fresh and yummy. I asked myself at first taste with these Berkey copies whether the water even tasted as good as the water directly from the tap. when I realized this I decided to cancel the exchange and just process the return of the second two filters . Unfortunately it is a few days too late for me to return the first pair of these filters. I do not recommend purchasing these filters.

The 2nd time around, this is a set of 2 charcoal filter & 2 fluoride filters rather than just the fluoride filters. These work as well as the real Berkey brand filters. They fit properly and are easy enough to install. These are just like the Berkey brand ones, but at a cheaper price. That's a good thing.I recommend this set of filters.***These are the white fluoride filters that go in the bottom (filtered water) part of a Berkey water filter.These knockoff brand ones so far seem as good as the real Berkey brand ones. They fit well. After testing water quality, water quality is no different using these compared to the real Berkey ones.The main difference is that these are just cheaper than the real Berkey brand ones. Normally, I don't recommend knockoff brand stuff because they tend to be inferior. These don't seem inferior so far.I recommend these filters.

My title pretty much covers it. It installed very easily and works well. I have not noticed a difference in the taste since I replaced the old filters with the new ones. The speed at which the water filters through remained constant - perhaps 3/4 gallon per hour, maybe a bit more. It's difficult to judge exactly how much, but as I said, I have not noticed any change. My wife needs to avoid Fluoride and I am happy that she can do that easily - I got tired of buying bottled water. Other than that, our water here is relatively good. But it's nice that it filters arsenic and other contaminants as well. I would say that since these last 8-10 months, that is a reasonable price to pay for good drinkable water.

These came up for review right after my 'made in China' Berk__ water filter arrived so of course I ordered these. There also happened to be some of the carbon filters available so I oredered them also. These connected right into the carbon filters with no issue and work just as they are supposed to. As far as the value for the money, all I can say is that I guess the Chinese sellers have realized that they can now charge more for their items as long as they are still less than the actual brand named items. By the way, in case you didn't know this, most of the brand name items are actually made in China and the exact same Chinese manufacturer sells those items under a Chinese name. Heck, I've actually received the American brand item in the actual American brand's box with all of the paperwork, manuals, warranty and patents.

Since my brand named filtering system does not need a change for this filter yet I cannot tell you about its flavor, but it matches the filters I have and seems the same. So for now I will trust what they say. I will come back to update this review if there is anything different that needs to be said other than what I have said already. It is half the price of the the refill filters from my brand named filtering system therefore the price is a good value.
