I switched from a natural coconut husk soil mix to this to eliminate a fruit fly issue we were having. It's much easier clean up. While my beardie is undecided I surely like it.

I like that it is 2 sided...can be green or brown. Perfect size for our tank. Makes cleaning the cage so easy. Good value for the price

I'm ordering another set for my son's beardie. I really like how my daughter can choose between colors to change things up. Having 2 makes cleaning easy... take one out, put the extra one in right away. Then we can make sure the used one is cleaned throughly, dried all the way, roll it up and have it ready for your next cleaning. It's great! My son's beardie poops a lot so he needs more clean outs. My daughters beardie only seems to poop on my husband :) so she can go longer. Having the extra really helps make cleaning easy.I don't notice any scent to them.

These are not stinky out of the box but plan on changing weekly if you have a box turtle that likes to soak in his water and drag his wet feet onto this fabric. Within 3 days there’s mold and by day 7 it smells so awful like a dead animal. The daily cleaning and water changes don’t help keep the funk away. My turtle requires minimum of 7 hours of UV A and B lighting which may contribute to the explosion of mold …..

Not easy to wash because there super hard nor easy to cut because they are hard. I’ve definitely had better rugs for by lizards I won’t buy these again
