The 2 AAA battery is not included in the package, you have to have it ready before installation. The installation was straightforward with the very clear instruction. It is very easy to program and the timer is very user friendly. The device itself is durable with weather resistance material that can within different outdoor condition. The button are not too small and they are very sensitive to response. The LED display is large enough for this small device. I have no problem to read the screen without my reading glasses. The water intake connector is made with brass but the output is little disappointed that it is made in plastic. You have to be careful not to over tighten the output connector as it may crack.The automatic two zone for watering can be use between 1 zone, 2 zone or use them together. I have monitor the timer and the zone for two weeks now. It is correctly for how I want time to turn on simultaneously in different zone. Now I don't have to take care of watering now. The rain day features can skip for 1 day to 3 days without interrupting the whole program. This is a very convenient feature and water saving if you know there is rainfall in advance.I have not experience any malfunction or leaks during the testing period. I have confidence that I will leave the watering work to this little device.

Controller is working well so far. It is easy to install and use, program and seems very durable. The controller hasn’t let us down yet.

This item is junk. I unpacked it and put in new batteries. The selection buttons below the display don't work properly. I put it on the 'How Often' setting and within 3 button pushes none of the settings buttons worked. I couldn't change the delay time, I would instead cycle through the zones two at a time...I got either 2 or 4, this while pressing the delay + button. Then nothing would change no matter what I pressed. It tried the 'How long' setting and got random jumps and the nothing would change. I am torn between getting a replacement or just getting my money back.

This is a solid, no bells/whistles product.I have installed this in our barn so I can set how long to leave the hose running to the stock tank....any barn owner has probably left the hose on a time or two, and these automated shut offs are so convenient to prevent draining a well!I have a different brand installed on our irrigation system that we've gotten much use from so was eager to try this device.The controls on this device are very simple and, in my opinion, much more user friendly than many other versions of these type of products with the spin dial and buttons to make selections.I haven't had this product long, so I will update if I run into durability issues, however my initial impressions have been favourable- both in decent quality and ease of use.I also appreciated that it came with an extra filter and Teflon tape for the connections.Keep in mind, this item needs to be removed in the winter when in an unheated area and the filter should be rinsed from time to time to avoid clogs (particularly when on a well). It takes 2 AAA batteries. If it's anything like my other device, I expect the batteries should last a season before needing replacement.

I almost returned this. Thankfully, after a lot of messing around with it and reading the first review on here, it clicked. I needed manual operation for at least 2 zones. The instruction seemed clear but every time I tried to manually operate for any zone, it defaulted back to zone one. Then I got it to work finally and realized on the video, the person was pressing the zone +/- button a lot. You can't simply go to the zone and press submit, you must use the button and make sure the zone you want to use is underlined and the ones you don't want to use are not underlined. I feel this is unnecessary and potentially confusing and not explained clearly. Now I'm just glad I don't have to return it.

Does not support multiple schedules per zone. Can do scheduled built in multiple times but those times are inconvienient. Only twice per day or 3 times per day for multiple time zones.

I use this sprinkler timer to add water to our pond. It is easy to program and simply does its job. No leaks so far. I particularly like that this timer is much smaller and lighter than the one I used before while providing the same functionality. I recommend this timer and would buy it again.UPDATE 10/16/23:Close to 1 year after purchasing the timer, it stopped working. The "low battery" symbol appeared, so I thought it was just a matter of replacing the batteries. However, as it turned out, things went downhill from there. With the new batteries the display started behaving erratically. A few days later the display went completely dead. I then tried multiple sets of new batteries but no luck. I was ready to give up and buy a new timer but decided to contact the seller since I had seen in a review that there may be a 18-month warranty. Sure enough, the seller responded quickly and offered to send a free replacement timer out to me. I received the new timer a couple of days ago and it works great. That's very impressive customer service for which I would add another star if I had not already given 5 stars as part of the original review.
